Spare Tire Carrier and other goodies

Just a head's up - no pics yet. But I spent some time at TeraFlex Plus here in Utah... and Sam showed me their new (under testing) spare tire carrier. It works with any bumper, as it's a solid aluminum (can't call it a plate, 'cause it's waaay thicker than a plate) thing that attaches to (and strengthens) the rear hinges. There-fore it can be used even with a stock bumper... It looks like it's really solid - I was back down there today, and they had it on another vehicle with a 37" tire, out in the desert testing it... (I asked to see it again). That all said, should be on the market in March for anyone remotely interested. Unless I misunderstood him, they designed it right there.

Another item they have that REALLY interested me, is there progressive bump stop - that goes from 50 lbs to something like 3500 lbs - iow, it won't bottom out. Great for applications like mine (offroad travel - hooking it down long dirt roads - with the ability to do so at higher speeds - without bottoming out the shocks).

Had an interesting .5 day there today.... having them install removable mud flaps on my jeep - to deal with all the road salt/slush I have to drive through here in the mountains -

Would love to see some pics of the removable mud flaps!

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will.

Thanks for the heads up. AEV has come out with mud flaps that work with their rear bumper that are not removable but doesn't sound like that would help with the front wheel splash. You might just want to splurge with the extended fenders.
