Angry Spare Tire Mount Upgrade Time...Accident!

So I go to back into a parking spot at a local store, the spaces are along a sidewalk, as I'm half into the spot and backing up, this asshat with the droopy earlobes, a rasta knit hat and smells like patchouli and dirt weed decided to try to squeeze behind me to get by, rather than wait 10 more seconds, I'm watching over my left shoulder to make sure I wasnt going to end up on the sidewalk, he comes from the right and WHAM! I slam on the brakes and I hear dipshit rev the engine and keep trying to squeeze by!!!! Spare tire caved in his right rear door, quarter panel etc.

My Spare is fine, but the stock mount cracked in 3 places and the spare is hanging funny of course now....Kid drives on like he's going to leave, until he sees me hop out (as best I can on a walker) raise my arms in a very angry WTF?!?!?! He stops, walks over and goes "Aw sorry man, I didnt think you were backing up yet and thought I could make it"

Then goes on to tell me he paid $300 for the gem he's driving and that he has no insurance, and doesnt give a crap about the car....I told him to beat it as I didnt realize the tire carrier had snapped till I got home....

Atleast I already had the Smittybuilt carrier, just hadnt put it on yet, tough to do with one good leg so I was waiting til spring and more recovery time...Looking at the instructions, I dont care for the way the tire actually mounts to the Smittybuilt, anyone come up with a way to modify it to use 3 lugs like the stocker instead of the big wing nut and a padlock?
