In this pic, I took it before installing the 4th screw. Overall a good fit. I could have used butyl rope as a seal but for my set-up, I am not too worried about a tight fit.
With mine it has just enough for the speaker basket to rest on the sound bar. The screw would be at the edge of the plastic.

Mine are close to the edge, no doubt. If your set-up is using the soundbar for any bass, then I would get/make a spacer/adaptor to fit in between the sound bar and the speaker.

You could make a thin spacer pretty easily. Just not sure how much room you actually have between the speaker and the cover that goes back on.

Hi, I didn't try. I liked the grilles that came with the Infinity speakers vs. stock.

What I can tell you is these 6502ix speakers came with all the foam gaskets needed for a tight seal and an adapter ring so I could install them in the Jeep without any issues.

I was really impressed with the complete bunch of parts that came with these speakers. Even came with Infinity stick on emblems if you wanted to reuse your factory grilles and advertise the upgrade.

I just posted a review of poly fill (2012 jku with Infinite system) over in "What did you do to your Jku" thread.

Replacing the speakers in the soundbar is almost worthless, in my opinion. With the infinity upgrade in my jku, there seems to be some strange EQ setting with them where they sound almost AM like in quality. While doing the polyfill trick, and even replacing them with the Kicker drop ins helped, they still sound horrible.

I think they pretty good but I'm no audiophile but I found that the sound quality of the music really makes a difference. It's such a subjective subject. I got the no navigation u connect whatever head unit that is. What do you think the issue really is. I'm fairly happy but I can't see what people are talking about.

Again most factory head units don't put out a quality signal, so any speaker you install is still getting average signal delivered from the HU. Aftermarket HU with lots of EQ control and multiple settings/filters etc make music come alive.

I have the Polk 6.5 from BestBuy in the front and rear and PolyFilled the Soundbar and the front as well and dynamatted the car as well. HUGE upgrade for 200 bucks. Then I added the infinity basslink and it now kicks my Acura TL's soundsystems butt!

so I got my polk slim speakers for the sound bar - -and looking at stuff, I have a few questions:

1 - the stock speaker has a plug, the polks use tongue type connectors... which wire in the sound bar is the + wire? I assume the black, but don't want to F up and hook them up backward.

2 - the polks are slightly smaller in diameter than the stock infinity speakers - when you mounted the polks, did you just drill new holes in the sound bar plastic and use the clips that came with the polks? I was worried there wasn't enough sound bar in order to actually seat the new speakers correctly.

Thanks! can't wait to get these hooked up!!

Hello there, I had best buy install all mine, but do know they had to use an adaptor that came with the kit from crutchfield and they fit right into the existing housing for the speakers, including the factory grill covers.

Thinking about putting the 77kick10's in my 12 Sport JK. Heard the good reviews on them..also wondering if anyone have any info on the quadratec exclusive kickers for $159? Difference? Specs listed for the 77kick10's don't say much in order to compare. Thanks!

Hey all-
Just put the polk audio db651s speakers in the sound bar - wow - that's wayyy better. I had to get the mounting brackets - but all in all, I think it was less than 80$ for the upgrade. Got everything from amazon - including new plug-n-play wire harness which had to be adapted b/c the polarity was backward - but daaaaang - having mid range with a stock head unit is worth the 80$!!! Not to mention that it really is a 10 minute job to swap it all out! Do yourselves a favor, hit amazon and get the polks. And forget about the mopar/kicker upgrade for 159$ - save your clams for that new bumper!!!

I swapped out the stock speakers for pioneers front and in the soundbar(TS-G1644R) & a kicker hideway 8"sub and it sounds awesome. The speakers wouldnt fit so I rigged it up to fit in the stock speaker housing after cutting out the paper cone & breaking away the plastic(would have taken pics to post but didn't see this thread until now).

What are your thoughts on the Hideaway's sound, etc.? Where'd you put it? Pics?

I put in Polk audio dxi650's from bestbuy and bought the speaker harness or them. It comes with a mounting bracket. I actually rigged up the stock covers and drilled through brackets on the Polk audios and they fit perfectly and look stock

Damn, I wish I would have went with the speakers that I originally wanted. The Polk Audio DB651....non-slim versions....at least for the rear.

I also just got the Polk db651 speakers in the mail from Amazon that are going in the soundbar. You cannot beat them for $55.

I can't decide if I want to bother putting polyfill in the soundbar at the same time I do the switch. I know it's really up in the air as far as improvement goes. Hmm...
