Sport or Willys??

Help!, ready to order 2015 black unlimited and can not decide.

Is the Willys worth extra 2gs, or is it better to go sport and add wheels??

If you live in St. Louis get a Sport. I live there and I'm getting a Willys and don't want to see more. :-) I have done the math and I think the Willys is a good deal.

If you don't want the gloss black Rubicon wheels and BFG KMs (and everything else cool about it), don't get the Willys.

I was actually going back and forth between the Freedom Edition and the Willy's. I'm not ready to order yet but if I were able to order tomorrow, I'd go for the Willy's. Hope that helps :]

You could always order the Sport and take that 2 grand get you a nice set of 33" wheels/tires. I was looking at the Willys and Sport. We are leaning towards the Sport and putting the extra funds on a lift and tires/wheels.

Are you going to wait until September 2nd and order a 2015 Sport in one of the new colors?

How could ya not go with the Willys?
But if you want black then the black accents won't stand out so maybe the Willys is not the best choice.

If you want a sport with a 3.73 lsd, connectivity and A/C, you might as well get the Willy's.

Depends on the build. For me, with no power package the Willys was actually less than the sport. But that's comparing it to the Sport S and not the regular sport.

Something I learned the other day.

Willys K package is they same as Sport C.
Willys W package is the same as Sport S.

Build one of each and see if it's worth it to you. To most buying the Willys it is, but only you can make that choice.

Can anyone confirm that a 2015 24W package includes power? I was about to sign a deal with dealer and he tells me that the 24w does not include power and that it will be an 1800 upgrade!

Doesn't 24 mean 4 door. If you're getting the W package on the 4 door I believe that includes the power package. If you're looking at the 2 door you have to add it. Ask this question in club Willys. I know it's been asked a million times. I just can't remember off the top of my head.

That's the way it was with the 2014 2 door. Power costs extra.
edit:Kev's right, on the 4 door it was included for 2014 but I don't know about 2015.

I wish they had a Willys in commando green back in 2013. I'd have snagged one of them but they didn't have a Willys model then.

Yeah, that would have been sweet. I wonder how it will look in Tank Green.

2015 is a carry over so packages will be the same. OP if you're buying the 4 door it's included.

If it's like the 2014:
24W JKU = auto trans and power group (base already includes A/C)
24W JK = auto trans and A/C and you must have this package to add the power group option

I believe you are exactly correct on all of the above. I posted a Chrysler chart with all of the 23/24 codes for all of the models of Wranglers in the Club Willys thread, but that thread devours information, never to be found again.

Before I purchased my JKU Sport S auto, 3.73, t-lock, power, hard top and blue tooth. I was looking for a Willys 24W with the same options and the Willys was 2K more and the dealers in my area wouldn't negotiate with the price as they did with my Sport S.

I wouldn't be satisfied with the black JKR wheels forever and would eventually change them, over all it worked out for me and now I'm saving and having to choose which wheels I'm going to buy.

Originally, I had my heart set on a Willys but was told that they had stopped production for the 2014's and as a result, my dealer had trouble locating a Willy's spec'd the way I wanted. Ended up with a Sport and saved over $2K which I'm using to buy 5 17" wheels (Pro Comp 7005's), 285/70/17's (Cooper AT3's) and a 2" lift (Rancho 2" sport with 9000xl shocks) for under $1,800. Also purchased a set of Smittybilt SRC side armor rock guards for $288.

If I weren't going to perform too many upgrades, I would get a Willy's or a Rubi otherwise, I would get a Sport.

I agree--if you can get the same options on a sport and plan on doing a lift and a bunch of other mods, changing the wheels....a sport might make more sense. If you don't plan on doing all that, the Willys package is a better deal. As noted above, many of us have done that math problem (multiple times)! Good luck with your decision.

Haha! I just did a post search for '24W' and it was like the 2nd page. I remember reading the original.

WillysGal,
Ha...I like your Jeep a lot but your Willys special black accents aren't really accents if they are the same color as the rest of the truck...are they?

Touche. Well, actually, they (decals) aren't black on the black paint--I think maybe mine are a bit different? They are sort of grey-black perhaps because they do show up, but they don't scream, which I like. I like the all black body paint/wheels, etc.

I do think the black decals and other black accents look quite awesome on the various colors that you guys have, though! It all really pops....but also like the bad ass look (as I've been told) of all black. In all honesty, I have not seen a single Willys version that I disliked, but I don't like all the color options on other versions.
