I'm thinking about ordering another jeep. My wife's dd is a 14 jku sports s. My dd is a tundra work truck package with a kings coilover suspension setup and 35's. So I don't need the bells and whistles. I noticed from looking on eBay some jk's have electric locks but manual Windows. My main question is does all the sports come with manual Windows and locks?
My 2016 Sport S 2-door came with manual windows/locks as standard. I chose not to order the optional electronic package that would have provided power windows/locks.
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT Sport S Package 24S $ 3,200
Auto-Dimming Mirror with Reading Lamp
17-Inch x 7.5-Inch Aluminum Wheels
P255/75R17 OWL On/Off-Road Tires
Power Convenience Group
Power Heated Mirrors
Power Windows with Front One-Touch-Down Feature
Power Door Locks
Remote Keyless Entry
Security Alarm
Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel
Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows
I was looking at doing the plain Jane package. No power anything. But I didn't know if they came with power locks just off of seeing the ones on eBay for sale. I just don't see spending the extra 3200 for power and different tire and wheels since they tires and wheels will be replaced pretty fast. Plus I have two sets of the 17" aluminum wheels and tires. One set has 32 miles total
The Sport does not come with power locks or windows and doesn't have it as an option either. To get power windows and locks you have to go up to the Sport S.
I believe cruise control is standard along with the steering wheel radio controls. I bought a Sport with the only upgrades being Connectivity Group, hard top and black 31 inch dueller tire package. I didn't see the need for power everything as I only wanted power locks which I'm going to add aftermarket for far cheaper than adding the Sport S package.
The Sport S package adds A/C, leather covered steering wheel and chrome around the heat outlets and shift knob......at least that's my thoughts without looking up in the JK build website.
Basic Sport has 16"wheels Sport S has 17".
There isn't much difference between the two models except the $$$$.
I couldn't live without air conditioning. Manual locks and windows are fine on a two-door, but the power doors/locks are non-negotiable in my JKU. I really wouldn't want a four-door without that option.
I got a sport but it has the Bluetooth radio and ac in it. No power doors or windows. Has the 16 wheels. And hard top. So mine is like a sport but has lots of sport s stuff.
OP doesn't state whether he wants a 2 door or 4 door.
2 door Sport S package (23S = manual, 24S = auto) Jeeps need "Power Equipment" package in order to have power doors and windows. Without the S package there is no power equipment available.
4 door Sport S includes power equipment, but without the S package doesn't have it.
Yes. I have '15 2 door. Still using 16 inch steelies but I put on set of duratracks in same size. I like the look. Picked up an AEV pro cal from q-tech. Easy fix
I have a '15 Sport S JK. No power locks or windows. No connectivity package either. The only option i have is the base radio with Sirius radio. Power locks/windows would've been fine, but it would've added a bunch more money, and the dealer couldn't locate another Tank no matter the options. I chose the Tank color rather than the power stuff.
I'm looking to get the jku. I guess I'm curious what is available without getting the s package. Ax is a must with living in south Mississippi. Other than that I can get by. But would like cruise and steering wheel radio controls which all those look to be standard on all of them
As mentioned, Jeep has on line tools that answer these questions. There is a section where you can compare the different versions on the Jeep. It tells you clearly what is standard, what is optional, and what is not available on any given version.
