Spring assist soft top

Anyone know of a video showing the added benefit/ease of this system?

I don't have a video, but having had the old style and spring assist, I can tell you main benefit comes when raising the top. Before it was heavy and awkward, with the spring assist version, I can stand on one side and easily pull the top up and onto the surrounds with no trouble. It is a very nice addition to the top.

Easier like magic

Just easier without scientific explanation.

Kinda, lol. Best I can explain it is that on the old style when you go to lift it, the weight works against you on the side you're not on. On the spring assist as you pull it up, the mechanism helps lift it up, so you're not trying to heft on the entire weight from one side.

Thanks for the replies. I bought a 2014 premium take off from craigslist and was thinking that the oval plastic covers were there just to cover the brackets where the bow's come together. Not being able to just assume this, I pulled one of the covers and saw the coil spring....which started the search for a video of a comparison to the "old" style.
