Squeaky (spring) Front Seats 2012 JKU

Both driver side and passenger side front seats in my 2012 JKU squeak/creak like CRAZY everytime I decelerate or "bounce" due to added pressure being made towards the front of the seat. Anyone else have this issue or have a fix for it? Normal day to day driving isn't that bad, but when it's on the trail and your constantly bouncing around it get's quite loud. Guess I will just have to turn up the radio louder

I took it in around 3500 miles for the "free with purchase" oil change from the dealer. When I did I mentioned my driver's seat was squeaking. They lubed it with something and I haven't noticed it since.

I have a rattling noise coming from the panel by the front driver seat. The dealer said it's been a common problem for th 2012's and w ould take a half day to fix.

I installed the lock box under my driver seat and its been creaking ever since. I've tightened it three times. Still creaking. My next fix was gonna be the white grease. I also have the rattle in the driver side panel. What's the fix for that.

My seat has been squeaking for a while now. Driver's side. I'm going to take it to the dealer to see what they can do.

2012 JK - Does the same thing. The dealer lubed it up and it stopped for about a week. The squeak (actually more of a groan) is back. Irritates the crap out of me.

I find the Drivers seat squeaks when its all the way down. If I use the lifting handle once or twice it's quiet again.

I would agree its more of a groan. The passenger seat does it a little bit too but no where near as much or as loud as the driver.

Angry

Mine also Especially the front passenger seat! I have laid the middle seats down and pushed the front seats back against the rear, so that has about stopped the squeak

Also added these: Jeep:Wrangler<br>2011-2012 4 Door

Mine did also with less than 1K miles. The dealer replaced both backrest frame and cushion frame. No problems since. I agree, verry annoying!

I'm in the UK with a 2013 JK that squeaks so much we call it Lucy (sic). Drivers seat and back rest, something rattles behind the dash, thunks in the door pillars near belt anchors, and a few more. Dealer has greased seat but no difference.

I tip the scales at 220 so not exactly Slim Jim but not Chunky Monkey either.
