Squealing 3.6

Since about 1000 miles (now at 2000) the 3.6 has been squealing. Noticable only at idle really, but it is very audible. Sounds like a belt or a bearing. Anyone else have this issue? Going to take it to the dealer on Saturday of next week.

Is it the engine or--

reported a front bearing hub replaced on my PO'd 07. Why? I don't know.

I've seen it mentioned on here a couple times also.

I just got my jeep back yesterday. It was squealing like what your describing. Is it only when you let the clutch out ? They replaced my clutch release bearing. Hasnt squeaked one bit since.

Ive had similar issues. more like a "squeak" not a squeal. mine spumded more like a creaky door.
There are 2-3 TSB's for clutch issues--but for 07-08.
Neither affect drivability supposedly just an annoyance

Bad news is--some who had it fixed the problem came back

I have a 2012 Rubicon JKU and I can hear something? Dont know what it is, but its faint. Everything runs fine, but When I do my first oil change I will have the dealer check it out.

I had the same problem with my 11'. It ended up being the throwout bearing.. it happened when I only had about 1600 miles on it.

I also have the same problem. It squeals for a tiny bit when starting out in first sometimes and it also does it at low rpms when lightly on throttle. I've already had it back to the dealership three times. The final time they told me I was driving it incorrectly and that it was a "characteristic" of the vehicle. A brand new $30k vehicle shouldnt have any freakin' character yet! At any rate, stay far FAR away from Reedman-Toll Auto World in Langhorne, PA. Not only are they refusing to fix this, but I had also been told that I needed to have a leaky shock replaced. They told me that they would have it ordered so it could be done when I brought it in next (this was after the second time). Well, they didn't have it in and they did absolutely nothing the third time. What a waste of time.

Sounds to me like you need to have a man to man with the GM and SM there. I know I would have. Don't let them walk over you.

yeah, I probably should do that...but there are three Jeep dealers within 20 miles of here. I'm sure that one of the other two would love to have my business.
