That looks really good - I have the aev and it doesn't block view or whistle fwiw - I do like the cowl look - if you want to compare here's the install -

Nice I like it especially with the low mount there is less exposed of the unit to rip off. As is I have had a fender removed on the trail would have been pissed if it would have been my snorkel.

I just don't care for the hood style snorkel. Its a personal opinion. Even if I had a fender ripped off it would probably not touch my snorkel. Its pretty well tucked up.

It would also concern me that the other snorkels hang out to the side of the windshield and I tend to get close to a lot of trees/brush.

It does take a beating - but its held up for two years now! I had to do alot of airbox work also since the jk stock box has holes in the bottom! And of course extending the breathers, which was way more work than the snorkel install!

Just an update. Like I said I got the inner fender in I just needed some heat and some more will power. I suggested to RR that they put the heat gun option in the manual because its pretty much necessary. Otherwise I have heard nothing on my breather tube coming off of the air box. Again this isn't a "huge" deal I just don't use the bolts to hold it onto the radiator it doesn't go anywhere and doesn't rub. Hoping I hear something just so I don't feel ignored but we will see.

Also just to clarify I dont hear much of a whislte at all but I'm not going to say it doesn't change the wind noise at all but that was expected. I just added a plastic air tube on the front of my jeep I doubt it will be silent. Most people wouldn't even realize the noise and I could argue that its much more than my soft top but it did change. Over all I'm happy with the outcome and I have the ability to revert to stock which is a plus.

Oliver, Is there no way to run A Pillar lights now?
I was looking into this snorkel but that would suck if I'd have to remove my D2's

I'm pretty sure the instructions say "Most" mounts still fit and they did specify putting the lights back on before the top of the snorkel so I think your fun. Im sure its a YMMV but they say itll work.

Wanted to see if you've gotten any update from RR. Not looking for snorkel right now, but just driving around in the insane rain storm we just had with flooded streets had me nervous after seeing this YouTube video.

JK Wrangler Drowns - YouTube

Not a fan at all of AEV type snorkels. I'm more for low key mods and would probably just run low mount so its out of the way.

Looks great! Concerned about your issues, since I am considering this piece of kit myself.

I agree that this is the best looking snorkel on the market. I like the idea of being able to swap from high to low as well.

Thanks very much for all of the pictures.

How is its performance airflow wise? Seems like it bottlenecks as it enters the engine compartment.

Better to suck in cooler air outside than inside warmer air.

Also I bet that bottleneck cant be smaller than the stock intake inlet
