Anyone had this problem yet? I think it's fairly new.

Summary Description :
CHRYSLER (JEEP): STEERING DAMPER. THE STEERING DAMPER ON VEHICLES MAY DEGRADE RESULTING IN A LOSS OF STEERING SYSTEM DAMPING. A NEW STEERING DAMPER, MOUNTING BRACKET AND ATTACHING FASTENERS MUST BE INSTALLED. *PE

Mine was replaced shortly after buying it.... noticed it was leaking fluid

How could I tell if this was done to my jeep? bought it used. Would be nice to know if the previous owner had these things done

That is faulty design, and it should be a recall.
