Question Stepup bars or running boards

What do u suggest I purchase for my new 2012 Sport S stepup bars or running boards? Factory or outlet? Chrome or black?
Thanks for the advise in advance!

I just put the mopar running boards on my 2012 sport. Literally a bolt on deal, looks awesome and very sturdy. $295 at amazon to my door!! Good option for sure.

ACE sliders are great if you are going to do any off roading.. if you're staying on the roads, the mopar ones are fine. Not sure? Go for the ACE ones. I also got rid of my factory ones.

I went Smittybilt. They get a lot of flack on here. But for $250 shipped its tough to beat the price. The biggest negative you here is "fitting" issues or bolt holes not lining up.

I guess i was a lucky one in that mine bolted strait up and had no issues. I wonder if there was a time period of a bad "run" of em cause lately i haven't heard as many issues.

The ACE sliders are great! However you typically need the rubicon rails with them to make them truly functional, so if you don't already have those you'll be looking at a final total well over $500!
