Stereo upgrades for 2013

Okay, I know that everyone is always asking questions about the stereos in jeeps, I truly searched and couldn't find anything. I have the apline premium system in my 2013. I was wondering if you can add an amp (a better amp) to the already existing setup? When I get the money I was planning on getting my aftermarket amp and sub installed but I was considering a different amp that would help the current speakers in addition to my aftermarket sub or even maybe 2 amps (one for speakers, one for amp). What is the best route, I have some aftermarket speakers but they didn't make a huge difference in my 2010 with the infinity.

Yes and no. The OEM amp actually does other functions so it needs to be wired in for your headunit to function. However, you can ADD a separate amp, and run new wiring to the speakers (which is what I did) but you cannot just disconnect the OEM amp and run a new one.

2 questions, stock speakers? Did it make a significant change

a new amp with the factory speakers will make it louder but not better. You will have to add new speakers to hear a sound upgrade

Just amping the rears (soundbar) will give you an improvement since the OEM soundbar is severely underpowered. However, yes, it will be louder, not clearer. I have new everything, new sub, new speakers and a new amp.

So, on my 2010 I had the infinity sound system, but the rear sub was easily removable and I just added an amp and sub and left the speakers stock, sounding pretty darn good, but I always felt something was lacking on the trebles. So on the 2013 the sub does not look easily removable, would the best route be to get new speakers, new sub that fits in stock enclosure and get 5 channel amp to go to speakers and sub?
