Stop the beeping

Does anyone know how to make the seatbelt beeping stop it's driving me crazy. And yes I know put the seatbelt on and it will stop.

Let it run it's course through the warnings. It'll eventually stop. Or plug seatbelt in then sit on buckled belt.

Do you really not want to wear a seatbelt in an open top vehicle? Just be sure to check yes next to the organ donor box.

There is a process out there that allows you to turn the beeper off but leave the light on. Check your manual or download one off of Jeep's website.

I wont preach to you, its your life bro.. but here is how to make it stop..

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled
or disabled by your authorized dealer or by
following these steps:
NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. The manufacturer does not recommend
deactivating the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert).
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and
buckle the driver’s seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition key to the ACC/RUN position
(engine does not need to be running), and wait for the
Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver’s seat belt at least three
times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt
buckled.
4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single
chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.
NOTE: Although the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert) has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning
Light will continue to illuminate while the driver’s seat
belt remains unfastened.

Wonder if there's a way to disable this on a ford van? I'll have to look. There are times when I have to sit idle for quite a while and use a netbook for work. The beeping is a bit irritating and it's too darned hot to not have the ac on. I always have it on when moving, but it definitely gets in the way when I'm not.

I just did this and it worked.
I ALWAYS put my seatbelt on but do agree, when your pulling your jeep up in the driveway and that things blasting, it is very annoying

I just blast the radio, hang half my body out the door and hold onto the grab handle. I don't ever hear the beeping.

Done some stupid things myself.
In first gear I would stand on the door ledge, steering my way through the parking lot at work.

It's a great way to be quiet while hunting. We will pull onto trails and "creep" are way back in the woods (No, not road hunting). Then get out quietly and walk are way back. Hate wearing a seat belt doing 5mph and not anything scary, just basically a dirt trail. Beeping would get old. Appreciate the way to stop it.

I do that too, but at 65mph, I can't even hear the radio.

Actually, please don't check that box. That just makes more paperwork for me to explain why I did not attempt to resuscitate you after you are found up a tree, dead.

And I deactivated my system and it still beeps at me. I just want all the beeping to stop. My Ranger would only beep if the lights were on and the key was out. This thing won't shut up. almost as bad as the ram... almost...

Sticky would be nice. This is a touchy subject though. Just because I don't what the annoying beep-does not mean I don't wear my belt. Just don't need my jeep telling me so
