I'm planning on swapping out the bulbs in my factory fogs with yellow ones and then getting the mopar/rugged ridge light bar for a set of 6" street legal driving lights in white. I don't want to spend the cash for HID.

i prefer metal housing, shock resitant, stone guards, black (non chrome). I've used various vendor off-road lights before in the past on trucks, but not street legal ones.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure where you are located but assuming you are in the USA the laws vary from state to state.

Check this out for some info. There is lighting law for each state listed among other things.

I carry it (the CA state info) in my SVT Raptor's glove box since I have quite a bit of lights on the front of my rig.

I plam on changing out my stock headlight bulbs BUT........I wonder weather the Sylvanias are a reasonable option to the higher cost Phillips . I had the Syl's in my Nissan Frontier and they were a big improvement.
We just covered ours with Yellow/Amber clear self-stick material produced for protective coverings for headlamps and smaller fog lamps. Cover helps protect lens from any stray rocks and it provides a little more contrast for the illuminated area on the road, than the white light does. especially during wet conditions at night.. Stays put . .
