Strike Force Zebra Doors or Bestop Element Doors

Ok so I have a 4 door JKU. I want half doors for summer. I'm on a budget and trying to go cheap. The strike force are about $250 more all said and done, both look good. I am looking for personal reviews. Thanks!

SFZ has had the best reviews so far. For some reason, most of the discussions have been on JK Forum. Apparently, the fit is great and they are very well planned.

The Element doors are great for those that want tube doors and skins. But they are kind of an eyesore from the interior with skins on. I have also read many review about their seal and keeping the elements out.

I have been waiting to see the SFZ uppers, but they are behind on product development. The great thing I have heard about these it that they will have a sliding window.

The rugged ridge half doors are also pretty good from what I hear.

All that being said, I am saving for OEM half doors...simply because SFZ decided to go with a textured finish and you can't paint them to match the body.

Bestop didn't work for me when I had them. I liked them as a half door/tube door but they rattled like hell and the window wouldn't line up no matter how much I tried messing with it.

I'm ok with a little leaking. I will only use the window for the dog in back and rain. Did you try anything to mitigate the rattling?

I have the Bestop Element doors on there way to me right now from Amazon for my JKUR. The fronts will be here today, but the rears are back ordered until next month. I went with their new matte black option as opposed to the old glossy finish. I'm looking into painting them Commando Green eventually though.

I don't have immediate plans for the uppers but I will look into the enclosure panels soon enough.

And I like the add-on bags. They look pretty sweet and seem to provide tons of storage.

I read about some fitment issues with the striker, but a little tape seemed to fix the rattles.

I'll report back when I've had some time with them.

I wanted the Mopar half doors but I simply can't justify the huge price tag for those. I can break the costs down as I go along with the Bestops.

Yea, some small pieces of foam or a pool noodle. they aren't that bad, I was just trying to use them all summer and got wet to much on my way to work.

How about the rattling? did wrapping with tape end it?

I had never heard of the SFZ doors until you mentioned them Chris. They're an interesting item. A little pricey to me though.

I'm with MJones that mentioned them being textured. A requirement for me is the ability to paint match the panels for a close-to-OEM look if possible.

On that topic, does anyone with experience with them know if the enclosure kit panels come with a gasket or trim that seals against the body when closed?
