Stubby Antenna

Does anyone use anything other than AntennaX? I love the look of my stubby antenna from AntennaX, but the reception is the worst I have ever had from any antenna. I am in a city of about 50K people, and I can barely pick up local stations and even those have a lot of static. I have never experienced that with any antenna in any car. Ever.

Can you check to make sure the thread inside the bottom of the antenna is screwed into the top all the way. you can check by twisting off the bottom 2 inch plastic base, you will see a thread inside. Make sure it is screwed in all the way to the top mast, reassemble and try it out as this might solve the reception problem.

I took off the antenna and made sure the thread on the bottom is screwed into the top all the way, and put it back in. same reception problems.

Most people do not notice a decrease in reception with short antennas, but there are some areas in the US where people do notice a big change in reception. There is no rhyme or reason, the Chicago area is one area where reception is not good at all with short antennas

Stubby

I have a 13" stubby from AntennaX and have no problems. I live 99 miles from Phoenix and still can pickup reception from there.
