Stupid things happen

Back in Feb. I stopped at the local gas station to fill up the JK, and I have this really nasty habit of getting out and locking the doors. Well after I pumped the gas, I then found out that I had securely locked my keys in the jeep! Standing there in a snow storm, and temps that were made for eskimo's I thought how dumb am I... I have a soft top, just unzip the window and all will be good again.
Keep in mind, my JK is the plain model no fancy door locks and such...so I have a dilemma...then I thought DUH!!! unzip the window! I was in! But to my dismay my arm was like 8 inches to short to reach the lock, luckily I had a piece of rod which I bent to let me back in.
I made an emergency JK unlocking device, which now hangs off the sport bar right handy to the window. Get another key and hang it from the frame...nah driving snow and some chick that wanted to use the pump I was setting at dictated a quicker solution. Two minutes and I was in and on my way again. A 25 cent welding rod is far cheaper than another key in my mind! Oh well it happened to me!

Yea stuff happens all the time.

Better solution, lose the doors then you'll never lock yourself out.
