Suggestions Please

I just purchased a 2011 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door Unlimited Spor. It is a manual with a 3.72 gear ratio with 4 wheel drive. Now here is my dilema since I am on a budget ...

I want the Jeep lifted. I was thinking about an actual body lift vs. suspension lift on the vehicle with the factory suspension. I was thinking around 4 inches.

I want nice aggressive tires and I am a fan of black rims. The vehicle is not used off road.

I would like to know what recommended size/make rims and tires are out there that would look good with my jeep. I also do highway driving so I also dont want the vehicle to bog down and guzzle gas.

So any suggestions on all those needs would be apprecitaed. Thank you for your help

leave it stock height. get a set of bushwacker flat fender flairs and run 35s call it a day. no need to lift a JK to fit bigger tires. and if its a street queen the lift serves 0 purpose as you don't need gains in ground clearance or suspension travel

4" is too high for a JK unless you want to spend a bunch of money, and a 4" body lift will just look bad. A 2.5" coil spacer lift can be had for just over $300.... You have room to clear 35's with that much lift.

Just so you know, body lift= bad, suspension lift=good

I didn't even think of the spacer idea. Thank you. Now I just need a nice looking tire and rim combination for the silver

Asking for tire/wheel recommendations feels like a natural question, but there are way too many options for anybody to really help you here.

Here's what I would recommend. Check out some of the JK picture threads on this site, including the "JK Lift Reviews" thread and the various trail picture threads. Then head over to Quadratec.com and take a look at their "build ups." Then sign up for their catalog, which will have lots of good pics, ideas, and general prices (though FYI, you can usually buy stuff cheaper elsewhere). During this process, make sure you're hanging around here reading posts and engaging with the conversations and asking questions when somebody says something you don't understand.

This will all start to pull you in certain directions with wheels, tires, and everything else.

In the end, you'll have better results with "What do you think of THIS particular tire/wheel" than with "What tire/wheel, of the innumerable options available, I should get".

Would never think about more the a 1.25" body lift, after that you have to start extension brackets. Still have to work on shifter boot with the 1.25. Could do a 1.25" rough country body and a 2" Teraflex budget lift just adding 2" spacers at top of coils which would still get you a total of 3.25" which would still allow you to keep your current suspension.

But Flat Fenders give a illusion of a lift without any lift and allows up to 35" tires.
