We love our spiderweb shade. Best top related mod we've done.

They had a coupon for 10% off (FBFAN) that was good for Father's Day. Not sure when it expires.

Just got my Spiderweb shade and love it. Cuts down on just a bit of the sun and I can still feel the breeze. Shipping was FAST. I ordered mine on a Monday and had it on a Wednesday.

Honestly without the top on I don't think it matters at all. Might protect your dash a bit but won't address the heat. Finding one that fits the window size is the challenge in a quick search I was seeing ones for $75 - ouch.

I just pitch mine in the back, very small so doesn't take much room. You won't be sorry if you buy it.

It folds up too.

Got a folding one that's custom cut to for the JK windshield off ebay for $40ish IIRC. When folded it fits under the back seat of my JKU.
