Sunrider Soft Top Alternative

I am purchasing a Rubicon from my local dealer. The Rubicon should be delivered in a few days. The Rubicon has everything I want except the dealer deleted the Sunrider Soft Top.

So here is my question. Should I make the dealer put a factory Sunrider Soft Top on or is there a better aftermarket alternative?

Thanks,

Chris Edwards

Great question. I will follow this thread because my Rubicon only came with a hardtop and am thinking about a soft top.

If i were you, i would check the price for a complete bestop sunrider soft top. They make the oem tops.

Then i would go to the dealer and tell them to include a sunrider soff top for free. But i would use the price info to tell them off if needed.....

Do you really even want a hard top? Sometimes i wish i could open the back window in the winter but i have no desire to ever have a hard top. Ive driven my soft top jeep at 80+ mph on the highway in sub zero conditions and the heater is way beyond adequate and road noise isnt much more than a hard top suv with roof rack. But it wont hold heat in after you shut the engine off.....

The jeep dealer i bought from swapped around hard tops and soft tops for people on a regular basis.

Find a factory premium top if you can, or the Bestop Twilltop, which has the same fabric as premium top. The look is great, and it's easy to operate. If it's a 4 door, I'd lean even more to the factory 2913 top as it includes spring assist to make raising and lowering the top even easier.
