super Chips 91 tune

I have a superchips flashpaq tuner for my 08 JKU, currently running 87 octane.

I'd like to run 91 tune - the majority of posts I've read all say 91 is better than 93 given the price difference between 91 and 93 octane.

My problem is that here in the Atlanta Georgia are, gas stations carry 87/89/93. I've found a few ethanol free one that have 90 octane.

I called superchips support, spoke to Sam. he said that the 91 and 93 tunes require a MINIMUM of 91/93 respectively. He said that I could run 93 fuel with 91 tune. The differnece between 91/93 was small. He said they don't have 91 octane where he lives.

He said they have no plans to make a 89 octane tune, he said that fuel generally isn't as stable (more closely regulated in octane rating) as others.

What do you all run with your flashpaq?

Has anyone been able to find 91 octane?

Has anyone tried running 93 octane with 91 tune? Something doesn't seem right about this.

Here in the People's Republic of California, 91 is the highest octane I can buy; no 93 here. Therefore, I use the 91 octane tune; it's easy for me.

Love 93 tune.

Looking at the big picture it's not really that much more per fill up.

Helps move my 35's and mileage seemed to stay the same (14-16)

At today's prices (assuming I will get 16 mpg and driving what I do every month), the difference in fuel cost between 87 & 93 is about $50 month.

it's a give and take.

I have several times gotten over 17 with 87 tune.

you know what they say, you get either smiles or gallon or miles a gallon.
