Superchips

This may be a dumb question that I already know the answer to, but here goes:

Will the superchips programmer I bought for my 2009 Wrangler work with my new 2012?

Probably not because of the different engine and gear box right?

It won't work. One a related note, what specific gains did you get from it on your '09? I have an '09 and might be interested in buying it from you if you are also interested. How did it affect your fuel economy?

I used 93 octane performance tune for about a month and I noticed a difference in the power especially when off road.

As for fuel, there wasn't much difference that I could see, but then again I was running 35x12.5x15 tires so that probably didn't help any. I ran the 87 octane tune for that.

The main reason I wanted the programmer was to I could change my tire size to reconfig my spedo for those tires.

Now I have to try and figure out how to un-sync it from my Jeep so I can sell it.

Not only will it not work on your '12, but neither superchips or hypertech have cracked the ECU rolling code used on the '11-12 model years.

The only way to adjust a '12 for larger tires, new gearing, etc is via AEV's Procal or having it flashed at the dealer.

EDIT: Forgot to mention...most dealer's won't program your Jeep for use with more than the largest stock tire available (usually 32's).

Unsync ? Just return to stock and it's good
To go. If you don't the buyer will have to pay $100 for the unlock.

I bought mine used

Well, I'm not to worried I guess; I won't be putting on my big tires until after winter again anyways, so hopefully Superchips has it cracked by then.
