Supertop NX First Use

Hoping to install Supertop NX on a 2012 Sport 2 door this week. Before I use it, I had a few basic questions. I did a search and got confusing answers.

When you fold the top back in the "sunrider" position, do you need any type of straps to keep the top from bouncing around in the wind or is it stable? I know it did not come with any, but was curious if you added your own?

This is the question I saw mixed answers to. When you have the top in the "sunrider" position, do you need to remove the back window?

Thanks for the help.

Hey did you have to drill any holes in your 2012? I am thinking of ordering one but if I have to drill into the body I would rather pay for the Mopar one. Too much salt where i am in Canada. No extra holes needed!

Bestop is staffed by some real imbeciles that don't know their product. They told me their underseat box wouldn't work on my Jeep too and it works fine. They are costing their company sales by doing this. If there is a BT rep here then you might want to take note that your call support techs need to learn your products!!

The instructions for the install can be downloaded from quadratec.com. The install for the Wrangler TJ does require drilling, but not for the JK.

I installed the supertop nx on my 2012 unlimited and it is junk. The quarter windows seem to be sewn a little short and dont fit in the channel behind the rear doors. I contacted bestop and they are of no help. I am about ready to throw it in the trash and look for another top.
