Sway bars disconnected

Why not drive with the sway bars always diconnected??

I drove for a year without it disconnected. As long as you aren't racing your jeep you will be ok. It does make a significant difference while having it connected.

Right on! I read a couple other forum threads after I posted this and they said about the same thing. I also saw a thread where a guy made his own quick disconnecs\ts. i want to be able to disconnect on the trail but I also don't want to spend $150 on the quick disconnects I saw on Quadratec.

Because it is dangerous. Yes you can do it but you may not break your bones jumping off a roof either. All it takes is that on car that pulls out in front of you and you have to turn real quick or that unexpected curve that was sharper then you think to end up like that picture above.
