System Computer Temp/Mileage......

I've noticed and commented that my MPG reading is easily off by 4-5 MPG but i noticed my outside temp reading is also way off. Numerous times I check the temp to my car to my iPhone and it's clearly off by a good 10 degrees. Is there any way to reset this myself or is it a dealer issue ??

Keep in mind that the mileage is an average since the last reset. If you want it to be close you need to reset after you fill the tank.

My temp gauge is usually close...at least it has been all winter. I was out about 2 hours ago and it was reading 32º...right now (I'm at home), I just checked the NOAA page and it's 30.8º outside. And earlier this year I was getting a reading of 2º, and thought it felt a lot colder. When I got home and checked, it was off by 1/2º or something like that. So mine's been pretty accurate.

There's now way that I'm aware of to calibrate it yourself. Maybe a dealer thing?

Dude.
You've seen what we have to do to calibrate the COMPASS.

What kind of craziness are we in for with calibrating the thermometer?

Very good point. Perhaps some arcane combination of the below exercises?

I haven't even bothered to check if the Compass is correct. Great

My outside temp gauge is closer to accurate than most vehicles. The first pic was when I got into the Jeep at 3 PM last Sept. The second pic is after driving about 5 minutes. The real temp was only 116. By the way, it was mid-80's today. Perfect!
