Tailgate Privacy Cover

Hope I'm posting in the right spot. It's my first time posting a question.

I've been searching everywhere for some sort of cover/screen/etc for the cargo area behind my back seats. I have a 2-door JK. I have seen posts/listings for security boxes, but nothing cheap just to hide what's back there. We are going to be leaving it at the airport in a few months and I'm nervous about it. We have a soft top with no tint. I won't be leaving anything of value in it, and it will be in a secured lot, but if we leave our overnight bag of clothes in the back I don't want people to see it thinking there's something worth breaking in for.

Does such a cover exist? Thanks!

A piece of cardboard and a pair of scissors.
If the cardboard has any writing on it at all,
make sure it is something like 'Toilet Paper' and not something like 'Color TV'.

This would fool me and I consider myself a master criminal.

LOL... Thanks. I was trying to come up with something to make, but completely over thought it. I think the only boxes big enough in my garage is a computer box and a TV box. I'll just cover it with fabric and put the blank side up!

Cargo cover

We made a cover for my '13 Sport Hardtop that may work. I posted the info in the wrong section today...its under "Builders Corner". It was pretty easy and clips in place...the hardest part may be figuring out where to clip the rear of the cover with your soft top...mine attaches to the hard top.... hope this helps....

i travel frequently for work... have a soft top as well with my JK in the economy lot, hasn't been screwed with one time... not the hi-lift, the spare tire, or anything inside my jeep... thankfully. granted, like you - i do my best to keep things out of sight, and in as many instances as possible, i try to remove anything of value anyways...

you should be okay at an airport parking lot....

...a scruffy Harbor Freight tarp seems to serve the purpose well too...I've use a variety of camo, ever available bright blue, large plastic trash sacks, or a carefully crafted multi layer of what appears to be debris & unorganized scrap, pieces of bark & gardening left overs. A muted color moving blanket from UHAUL picked up at a yard sale serves well also.

Of course, the bolted in 42" vintage metal Jeep tool box with heavy padlock gives additional illusion of security.

I am assuming your interior is black...go to Walmart and get some of this heavy dark cloth....fold your seat...don't tumble it..... lay this across the top and hold up the sides with magnets...should have a little area that isn't exposed to the outside EYES!!!
