Taking off softop

When I got my sahara in July I got the dual top package. Obviously meaning I have both tops. Now when I want just the hard top on is there anyway to completely take off the soft top because it is killin my trunk space. I am very new to wranglers due to this is my first one. Please help me if possible. Thank you.

yes taking off the soft top is easy, just a few bolts. However, you have to remove the hardtop in order to remove the soft top

Leaving both on can cause damage to the soft top. They are only both on there for transportaion purposes.

You are actually suppose to remove both tops after you bought it to prevent damage to the soft top. It is just set up that way from the factory for ease of delivery to the customer. All you have to do is remove the hex screws from the body tub, unplug the rear wiring harness for the wiper and flip the front lockdown tabs in the front for the hard top. As far as the soft top just unscrew the hex screws from the roll bars to remove it if you are wanting to put the hard top back on. Hope that helps.

I have a soft top on now. Does any one know how to roll up the soft top for the winter? I want to totally take it off to put the hard top on. I want to try to roll it up like it came from the factory to prevent damage. This is my first winter with the new Jeep and am very confused.

You want to sell the soft top? I'd be interested.

Let's make a deal!
Tuscon? Eh!

We have a brother in Phoenix. Could make for a nice exchange.

What are you asking?

Eating up the trunk space is a big reason I dont run both.

Also didnt know that having both on hurts the soft top.
