taking off the doors.

does anybody know what size screw holds the door hinges on and is it a torx screw?

It's a torx. T50 and it is a nut.

Keep in mind when you disconnect your door strap watch the door doesn't swing into the jeep. Your mirror will leave a dent or a dimple as it is better known.

What part of MS are you located in, I'm in the Biloxi area and there's not any good trails here.

Extra hint to go along with JerryJeepsters good info... Unplug the harness BEFORE unhooking the retaining strap.
