Talk me in to... Or out of...

I currently have a 2013 billet jku sahara. 6 speed manual. Nav but no connectivity. Premium soft top but no hard top. Not lifted but I have 5 fairly new 285/70/17 duratracs on tungston black Rock vipers. Replaced the front bumper with a 2014 rubi x take off. Rubi take off rock sliders as well as the Ace sliders/steps. Roughly 25k miles on her already.

The reason I fill you all in on my specs is this...

Just noticed this on the local CL 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 4x4 - BRAND NEW LIFT - Pentastar V6

You see. IMO this the unicorn of jks. The sahara tan but early 2012 so it has the pentastar! This looks like a sport without nav. Stock bumpers. Got a nice lift but I think my tire wheel combo is better. Also like the rubi x bumper better. It has 57k miles and is an auto. All that is meaningless cuz the color just rocks!

Should I trade mine for it? What can I expect to pay out of pocket or should it be a straight swap? I doubt that can happen as I'm sure the dealer wants to make money but I think he can probably make more on mine.

Would love to hear all your opinions. Thanks!

When faced with a situation like this, I always make a pro/con list. I list the pro's in favor of the action and the con's against. Whatever is on top is usually the way I go. However, you've got to do what makes you happy. You have a great looking jeep and you have to decide if it 's worth it. That being said, the mileage on the other one would be enough to negate a swap for me.
But that's just me....

If you bought yours new I would keep it personally. Add you a 2.5 lift maybe 3.5 if you want. But I would definitely keep the vehicle I know where its been over the one I dont. Usually a vehicle that was just recently lifted and traded in has a reason for doing so.

Agree. A set of RK triple rate 1.5's would look sweet

12 and you have to worry about head issues. Keep it

Yes that does all make sense and certainly weigh heavily on my mind.

The sight of that tan just makes me lose myself sometimes.

Take it for a test drive and see what you think. If you really like the tan, then get it. The pro/con list is a good idea too.

Do you have your original wheels and tires and bumper? If so I would put them back on and trade if you plan on keeping the jeep for a long time (and I mean a long time). If your goina take a little hit make sure it's worth it and not just something that will happen again. Who knows maybe jeep will come out with a super unicorn jeep right after you swap. Us humans never know..

Find out how much your car is worth on kbb. And weigh the pros and cons. You might get a better deal if you sell your privately take off all the mods and sell those too. And go to this dealer and negotiate the price down like a dog.

57000 miles is a lot IMO.

Yeah. That's the biggest sticking point with me is the mileage. Doubling up mine.

I sold my wheels, bumper, and side steps. So short of buying replacement off cl they'd have to go with the jeep.

The 2012 has a fair amount of miles on it, and you really don't know how well it's been used/maintained.

Your '13 looks good....has the tires and bumper you like. If it's only the color that you like (and I think that the Sahara Tan is the BEST), then why don't you have your vehicle repainted ??

Honestly, I love how the other one looks but yours is already "yours". You made it to your liking. Plus this one is older. I would honestly just lift yours and call it a day
