Tera-flex Budget Boost w/o shocks?

Can anyone offer a review for the Tera-flex Budget Boost w/o shocks. I'm looking at putting it on a rubicon, so I want to use the stock suspension.

How is it at flexing? What is the ride/ handling like?

Have you had any issues with parts from the lift coming off or loosening up like the coil spacers, etc?

That's the lift we put on our Rubi, due to wanting to keep the nice Rubi shocks. No problems at all with it, we wheel it often. The ride is still very good, unfortunately the two front shocks broke during installation, so they had to be replaced anyway. In hindsight we probably would have gotten the longer shocks initially and called it a day, had we known we were going to end up replacing shocks anyway. YMMV... PB blast the heck out of the upper shock bolts for a week or so prior to installation. I would have done ours but it was 600 miles away until the day before install....

Thanks. I would still like to know how the ride is with the shorter stock rubi shocks.

Well, that's what I have, and the ride is very similar to stock. We replaced the front shocks with stock length shocks since we had the stock shocks on the rear still and have the extensions.

Have this set up on 2 JKs. Rides like stock.

The Teraflex budget boost kit is probably our top selling budget boost kit we offer. The ride quality remains very close to factory, and the installation process is pretty simple with the mechanical know-how to do it. This kit will not disappoint you.

I installed this baby on my 2011 4dr Sport and have heard the "pop" coming from the TOO SHORT shocks. I know they are too short as I had to have a couple of guys stand on the bumper to depress it while I attached them after the pucks were installed.

Does the stock Rubicon have longer span on the shocks?

I will be buying the 9550's shortly.

BTW the pop is not coming from the bracket that needs to be drilled prior to installation. This can happen if you widen the hole after missing the mark. It pays to measure that sucker more than once.

If I'm not mistaken, the shocks become the suspension motion limit in the downward direction, right? Are the shocks meant to take that sort of abuse? I though you always wanted shocks to have more travel than the suspension so they don't bottom out on either end?

Did you install the extensions for the shocks?

X2 If you intend on using stock shocks you absolutely must use the shock extensions or you'll rip those shocks apart and sag your springs...

I totally agree with the damage that is happening to my shocks/springs.

The kit I bought did not come with shock extensions.

Thus the 9550's are on order. Commuting to work on my bicycle/motorcycle this week.

Whats the difference between the "Teraflex budget boost w/o shocks" and the "Teraflex budget boost with adapters"??

Also are the adapters necessary or can a stock JK just get the "budget boost w/o shocks"

They sell their kits in 3 configurations; with shocks, with shock extensions, and without shocks for those that want to add a different brand of shocks (such as Bilsteins) to the mix.

Are the adapters completely necessary?

Just pulled the trigger on this kit with the adapters after Tera-Flex answered a couple questions for me, hearing some great reviews on this one!

If you are using your stock shocks, then yes. The stock shocks aren't long enough for the additional 2.5 inch pucks.

Anyone have this kit with 35s? Just wondering what other modifications were needed to fit 35s or do you just install the kit and go?

Yup almost 5 years no issues. The only thing changed was the front factory springs started to sag so I swapped out the factory springs and spacers for 3.5" springs.
