Teraflex 2.5 question

About to order the Teraflex 2.5" with Rancho RS9000's. question is I will be adding a rear bumper with tire carrier and possibly a front bumper with winch later. What kind of issues will I run in to if I add a 1/2 to 3/4" rubber spacer with the coils?
I would like a little more height, but keep the price down
Thanks!

You can add spacers if needed to get a little extra boost after adding the extra weight.

Troy,

You wont have any problems adding a small spacer to your coil lift kit once you add bumpers and other weight to the Jeep. As long as it's under 1" you won't need to worry about longer shocks or doing any other work.

Hope this helps!

I would get Rock Krawler 3.5" coils, or look into their kits as a whole. I had the TF 2.5 and after added weight I was wanting more lift. swapped springs, and other parts and all is good again. I should have done it right the 1st time, and I would have saved a little coin instead of doing it twice within 2K miles

There is not much of a price difference between the 2,5" and 3" lift. Why not just get the 3" lift and called it a day????

Troy,

There is a few good options here. You can add the spacers no problem. You can also go with TF's 3" lift too. One thing to keep in mind is that TF runs a linear coil. So, it will give more.

Twarner mentioned going with a Rock Krawler setup. They run a progressive rate coil in the front so you wont have the sagging or spacer issues.

If you have any questions though about either, feel free to let us know. Feel free to PM, email, or call at anytime!

Doesn't going with a 3"lift get into the driveshaft chances?

No, we dont see this until we get up into the 3.5" and higher. Plus, the TF springs will settle some once the weight is added in the bumpers, carrier, and winch.

This only applies to the JKU, right? I'm assuming a JK would have issues with a 3.5" lift.

As already stated a 3" lift with heavy bumpers, winch and gear will net you the same height as a 2.5" without the extra weight.
I have 3.5" front, 2.5" rear to get level.

At 3" on a JKU 6 speed would you need to change out the control arms and/or track bars, or is that dependent on terrain and desired flex. I'm in Florida.....lol!

Hopefully not hijacking this thread but...I am considering the TF 2.5 and spacers to offset my winch in the front.
Besides the .5" and front swaybar discos what's the difference between the 2.5 and 3 TF lift? It looks like there is over $300 difference between the two. thanks
