The u joints are cheap Chinese crap. If you go and search on jko and jkfourms you'll see what I'm talking about. Replace the u joints with soild non spiders and you'll be good to go. The driveline was set up right btw

I've been watching for that as well. They probably cant think of a good enough reason for the 60 dollar price tag.

I had the same problem as the rest , the collard bolts are way too long and bottom out before exhaust is tight causing air leaks. I couldn't find any shorter bolts in my area ( in metric ) so i had to use the bolts they provided and added nuts at the ends of the bolts to shorten them up to be able to tighten the exhaust up enough not to leak.

As good of a company terflex is , I am a little disappointed in the quility and fit of this product .

I'm was disappointed with TeraFlex with this product from the beginning. They price the item at $29.99 and just overnight jack up the price to $59.99..... then they start shipping the item that does not work or sets up like the video indicates... just to finish it up, the folks have questions and they do not even come back to answer the questions on the product they are selling.
They can come in and start answering questions and possibly sell more exhaust spacers.

Trying to decide on the crossover from AFE or the spacers. Has anyone installed the new crossover? Also wonder if Teraflex has fixed the bolt problem with the spacers?

Wonder why the engineers at Chrysler didn't thought of this.
Especially with the new engine, tranny upgrades...

They should know people like to upgrade their Jeeps [lifts, wheels, bigger tires etc...]
Not sure why they didn't do anything about this...

Teraflex only?

Do I understand the threads here or not; 2012 JK using Treaflex lifts 2 1/2 +, willl need these spacers or something similiar.

However, this space issue may not apply to other lift kits from other Manufactures? Right??

hdrider do you remember what was the length of the bolts that came in the box? I ordered the spacers too although I still don’t have my Jeep yet and the bolts that came in my box are 3.5-inches. If they turn out to be too long I’m going to call TeraFlex and ask for them to ship me the correct length bolts on their dime. If that doesn’t happen then I’m returning the spacers and go with AFE Y-pipe.

Any lift kit with shocks or extensions that are 2-1/2" or longer than the stock shocks when extended will have the same problem.

Terra flex what the deal??? are the spacers 1.75 and 2.00 correct length? maybe the bolts are incorrect
The spacers are the correct length, the only issue has been a bolt that doesn't have thread down far enough. We are switching out some of the bolts to one that is 10mm shorter, so there will be enough threads for the nuts.

.
You will need to address the exhaust issue on most lifts above 2.5". You can lower the suspension about 2.25" before the driveshaft just about comes into contact with the exhaust.

Take a look at 1:40 in the video.

Anyone wanting the shorter bolt, please email me your info. j.thompson@teraflx.com

I,m sorry but I don't remember. It really was not a big deal to me. It,s only bolt. Sure,, it would have been nice had they come with the correct ones but I try not to worry about the little things. Heck,, I have already put it behind me.

Thanks for the reply. I can let thing like that go too but not when it’s known that the bolts are wrong to begin with. TeraFlex just posted about the bolt issue so it looks like they are making things right.

I went AEV 4.5, they work. The bolt is a real issue though. Glad they addressed or are addressing that. I lost 1 completely my first trip out, and 2 of the other 3 left were loose.
They were properly tightened, but having to shimmy them hinders their ability to hold.

Anyone getting the spacers I suggest you use a bit of lock-tite on the threads just to be sure. Also, use a lock washer. It's not a big deal, since the exhaust has no way of falling even if both bolts fall. They are compressed in there, but even if under some crazy flex they pop off, they'd land on a cross member. You'll just get a very sweet sounding exhaust temporarily, almost felt like leaving the bolts loose .

I'm happy with the results over all. Just wanted to suggest using lock tite on the bolts, even when replaced with better ones just in case.
