TeraFlex 2012 JK Exhaust Spacers, Install Video

Exhaust spacers are needed for all 2012 model JK Wranglers using Teraflex suspension kits with 3" or more inches of lift. The spacers are installed between the driver and passenger head pipe flanges and the flanges of the cross pipe, which moves the exhaust cross pipe rearward. This prevents contact between the front driveshaft and the exhaust cross pipe during suspension down travel.

The 2.5 inch suspension kit will also need the spacers for the next few months. The long-term plan is to shorten the shocks on the 2.5 inch kit by .3 inches in order to prevent drive shaft droop onto the stock exhaust without spacers, but until this change in the shocks is implemented, the spacers will be needed.

The kit number for the spacers and hardware is #2610000. This kit includes the spacers and longer bolts to install them.

Call TeraFlex to order, these are in stock.

Great video TF. I was wondering how people were going to get around the new exhaust routing.

In the video he does not measure eye to eye on the shock to axle but does after the install.

that's what I saw. I was going to get it, will have to pass if that's the way they want to deal... others will come out with other products to fix the problem.
I will take it for the original $29.99...
I might just hold for the AFE reviews to come out... I just hope they do not come out and say they just increase the price by 100%.

You ask what happened, GREED is what happens.

Good products by teraflex just disappointed with them this time around.

I'm pretty sure I can go down to my my local muffler shop and have them pop off that rivet, and weld in 2" of tube on each side for less than $60 and I don't even have to get dirty.

Yes but
1. you can't do it yourself (which I think is the point)
2. You couldn't put it back to stock if you wanted to.

Just ordered mine. After the $$$ spent to get it trail ready so far I'm not going to let the cheapest mod I've done at $60 get in my way.

I considered buying this, but I opted for the AFE y Pipe instead.
Exhaust Systems Y-Pipe aFe Power MACH Force XP Exhaust Sys; Y-Pipe; Jeep Wrangler 2 Dr & 4 Dr; 2012 V6-3.6L 49-46215 - aFe Power

The pipe will move the exhaust crossover to the other side of the skid/support. It is more money, but I like that solution.

Sorry, the price was to be at $59.99 always, but the when the item was loaded to the site it was listed at $29.99. Some early customers got them for that, but then we had to update it to the correct price. TeraFlex had already released the info/pricing to our dealers at that point.

I'm reading on other sites, these are not working, something about spacers too short for the bolts to tighten up

Terra flex what the deal??? are the spacers 1.75 and 2.00 correct length? maybe the bolts are incorrect

Yea the price is stiff for what you are getting. I ordered because I'm killing a driveshaft. Unfortunately I ordered them a week ago, asked for quick shipping and was told yesterday oops, they are going out today.

Hopefully they work when they get here.

Sounds like $29.95 is the perfect price for a set of exhaust spacers. $59.95 is gouging, especially when any decent muffler shop can fab these up in less than 15 minutes.

It's true. I had to use an oversize nut and washer on each bolt as there is not enough thread on the bolt to tighten them all the way down without hitting the non threaded part.

These spacers Are nothing more than a bandaid. 60 dollars will get you two spacers and for spare bolts for a future project, unless you want to use 30 wAshers to make them work. Pretty disappointed with teraflex.

I'll be test flex here in a little bit, aev 3.5 with 35's.

Spoke with afe after the install of the spacers (might tell you something), they said they are not gonna dyno the y pipe and they aren't sure if they will use the y pipe when they dyno the exhaust.....makes no sense to me. Seems like they know it hinders performance. Even asked if they'd send me one and I'll dyno it, response was, for 289$ they'll send me one.

This is the best I could get today.

Didn't look to be contacting at this point, I'm sure the boot will be touching if I go further, but the shaft itself shouldn't touch.

Just ordered a set of these. Going 4.5" AEV with a Tom Woods D.S. upgrade. Hope these work out okay. On the plus side, if AFE doesn't want to dyno their y-pipe, it probably means they did and the results are not all that great. So why spend $300 to get shitty results, instead of $60? Eh.. seems to me that this solution might actually be better. Retaining the loop and adding 2" to each side almost guarantees that both lengths stay the same. With the new Y-pipe, they had better modeled that thing properly to ensure equal lengths and no disturbances from the interface. I'll take this band-aid any time until another company decides to come up with a real product that they will stand behind and show the effects on performance, good, or bad.
