TeraFlex 3rd row seat install

Got my 3rd row seat brackets from TeraFlex and my seat should be here tomorrow. Going to tackle the install of the brackets tomorrow. I'll post up pics when I'm done. The rugrats are excited! So am I... Kinda.

The middle JKU stock back seat seats 3. The rear addition from a 2 door seats 2. Plus the front buckets = 7 seats.

We are a family of 7 also but I think we are going to flip the seat rear facing so they could get in through back!

i just recently saw this in a JP for "new products" pretty sweet really.

the commander seats 7, nothing new to jeep for 7 passengers

although there is absolutely no room for cargo unless you count the kids laps

He could just tie the kids up to the roof when he has other cargo to put into the jeep. I am sure the kids won't mind

Well, I got the brackets in today. Teraflex used nutserts to anchor it to the floor. Dumb design IMHO. I scrapped those and bolted it in.

Seat belts are in. Just waiting for the seat to come tomorrow.

Here is a pic of the brackets and belt. The seat will be rear facing.

I always contemplated this...it would make entry for passengers way easier on a TJ, at least with the top down. It would also be quite the thrill ride offroad too. In the end, I just took the seat out

I got it from another forum member on here There is one for sale on the JKOwners forum right now. I think he is in Colorado. Hope that helps.

Else than that you can try http://carparts.com/ and check salvage yards around where you live. I had no luck with that around me, though.

Matt

LOL, that takes care of the "half worthless" part of your rear view mirror... gonna have to ask your copilots if it's clear left or clear right

Friggin awesome though.

The best part is how the new rear seat still tumbles forward for cargo area access.

Ok...trying to guage interest. I've got a buddy that has something like 20 sets of wrangler rear seats & hardware, I believe taken out of new jeeps. I'll try to get more info.

I think he's looking for something like $225-250 complete, shipping is around $70 anywhere in the conti 48 states.

Here are some initial pics of his 'stock'

Let me know what you think...
Hans

Those look like TJ seats to me. Per teraflex, they won't work with their brackets.

You'd better have a long arm to be able to whack the kids way back there. Wheelin with five kids . . . good luck to you . . . better you than me.

The seat aren't teraflex, they're jeep seats. The hardware is also original jeep hardware, not meant to work with teraflex. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Hans, he means the seats are from a TJ Wrangler... the bracket to make the 3rd row work in a LK (4-door Wrangler) is by a company called Teraflex, and it won't work with the back seats you're showing there. Try the "For Sale" forum. Also, those prices are a bit steep- but maybe that's just me.
Matt- glad to see it worked out! Enjoy! Mark W.

Mark...thanks. I was trying to see what my buddy should charge, I thought that was a decent price but could be totally wrong. I also thought that the seats with hardware would work in a 4 dr jk...can't you just bolt the hardware in back and mount the seats?

Hans
