Loosen !!

Any lift installed, you should loosen all suspension bolts/shake and torque.

A leveling kit, not sure if necessary but won't hurt.

that's what people have been saying.. Now i just need to figure out how to put this saw bar in correctly? I have a washer that came with it, and I dont know where to put it. ( front sway bar). Does it got on the top of the bottom, on the inside of the jeep or the outside wards the wheel, it's not in the instructions.

I believe they vary. Uppers were 17/18 and lowers were 19. At least on my 13 they were of varied size.

The washer ?
Good question.... I put it on the nut end of the upper ball stud.

Okay, Leveling kit is on.

the Steering wheel if off center and a bit to the left, ( I will need to adjust that) and the steering feels a bit loose. I might have to check my track bar, just in case I forgot to re-tighten it.

I recommend even loosening them on a leveling kit. trackbar bolts are 125ftlbs. So make sure you tq them as that is the leading cause of death wobble.

Looks like I forgot to tighten my track bar axel side when I was done with the install. Been driving around for two days with a loose track bar. Bummer, problem solved. Drive a lot better now, just like factory.

Does the ABS wiring mount get reinstalled? There's no mention of it in the instructions. When you remove the clips does that permenantly damage them? Do they just dangle after the install?

Why on Earth would you remove them? They follow the brake lines. There is no advantage to taking them off. They can be reinstalled if removed though. Just clip them back in. Did you remove the caliper as well???

Been almost 2 years since I installed mine (which has since been removed)

On every one I've ever done, I've removed the retainers for axle droop. When I put them back, I usually take the clip that was in the lower hole and move it to the upper hole. Then leave the upper one not hooked up. This will give you more slack in the wire to handle any additional flex.

This seems like a really good idea. I have unclipped the abs line from it's retainers when installing my Daystar 1.75 BB and then once again for removal and installation of my current 3" lift. Both times I returned each clip to its original retainer. Everything has worked fine since, but I like the idea of moving the position to allow some slack.

So there is an abs line on each side? Do you need some special tool to do this? The TF sheet shows the guy with a wierd device.

The ABS line is held in by a plastic clip, just pull it off with a pair of pliers it's not rocket science.

For someone who has never seen an ABS clip, or even been under a vehicle, I hope youll forgive the abundance of caution when contemplating tinkering with the brakes on my daily driver. It gives me pause. But hey, thats just me.

Zip Ties

IF you find that the Plastic clip breaks, or does not go back in properly, or fit to your liking. have some zip ties handy, it might help.. I had to zip tie my wheel speed sensor cable in one place because the plastic clip broke.

I have a question on the sway bar links, specifically the zerk fittings. What do they do? I see they screw into the links but it looks like they dont connect to anything else. The TF sheet doesn't even mention them.

Any help is appreciated.

They are grease fittings. You fill them with grease for the links

You use a grease gun to pump grease into the joint via the zerk fitting, increasing the longevity of the joint. At least, i think that's what you're asking about

I know this thread has gotten a bit off topic from your actual problem but I installed 18/59 springs, rubicon shocks, and the TF leveling kit this past weekend and was having the exact same problem with a clunking sound post install. I was hearing it mostly from the front passenger side when I went over small potholes or slightly uneven surfaces.

I discovered what was making the noise and in my case it was the upper part of the sway bar end links, where the end links actually connect to the sway bar. In my haste to install the kit in the 90+ humid weather on sunday I must not have tightened them all the way.

I figured this out by having a co-worker drive my jeep in a circle slowly over some potholes as I watched and listened very closely.

If you are still having the problem check out what i mentioned, hope this helps if you already haven't figured it out.
