Terraflex 2.5 spring lift folks in here.

Ok some questions. I have the TF 2.5 spring lift and Ranchos 9000 shocks. The kit came with the brake line brackets which my guy installed on the rear but they do not work on the front. So as it sits I have the brake line drop brackets in rear and stock location in front. Im looking at running discos and need to know if I will need longer brake lines in the front and should I be worried about front drive shaft on 2.5" lift while discoed ? Is there anything else I will need to disco the front and get max flex on this lift ? Will the springs stay in place or drop out under full flex ?

Running the same lift with the same worries my friend. I talked to my buddy who recently upgraded from the TF 2.5 to a 4 inch lift. He still runs his stock brake lines and disconnects when hes on the trails.

Same 2.5 lift here. I see no issues with drive line or front brake lines.

The 2012 -13 JK have a bracket on the front brakelines that have to be unbolted. Older Jk don't have the bracket.

Even with the bracket unbolted the line offers no down travel that I can see .

Yes it does. Just unbolt it and zip-tie it to the shock if you want to be on the safe side.

So are you talking about unbolting the hard line from the frame bracket or unbolting it from the axle ?

Thanks Viper...that's just what I needed. My install is the same as yours.

Here's the issue: There is another thread going on where a guy had the upper bolt snag his hard brake line and the line broke. There was a debate as to whether the link should be mounted inboard or outboard.

From what I can tell, I'm good w/ the TF kit as the new lower bump stop limits my travel to about 3 inches and the bolt is about 5 inches below the brake line with no flex.

Just a heads up in case this may affect you guys any.

This is not the proper way. But this is how the rear links are mounted when you have extended swaybar links and factory wheels.

If the upper bolt snaps the brakeline the bolt is too long.

Yeah. I read inboard for factory wheels and outboard for after market wheels.

I'm gonna have to flex my rear to ensure I can't snag my break lines.

Looking at vipers pic you can see that he has the factory rear links. The only way I can even imagine the rear swaybar link coming close to that brakeline is if you have a lift with the short factory links and when you flex out full, the staybar comes down near vertical.
Mounted inboard or outboard my links come nowhere near the brake line. If the brakeline drop brackets are used and put on properly you would have even more room.

Not sure how you can tell they are factory links. The TF links that come with the kit are just like stock, only longer.

Mine are in fact the extended TF links. The stock rear ones were moved to the front per the kits instructions.

So I was out just checking our Jeeps, both with TF kits and the bumpstops will hit before the swaybar links can contact the brakelines.
From what I could see in the pics on the other thread the 2 guys with issues didn't seem to have extended rear bumpstops.

Ohio, just a quick note. Your rubber flex brake line looks awefully close to the shock. It might just be perspective of the camera, but... When flexing, mine bent a bit and put the half loop against the shock and I didn't notice it for a couple weeks. Normal vibration rubbed a bit of the texture off the rubber. If it had stayed for a couple more weeks, it would have rubbed it pretty thin weakening/breaking that line. I hate bleeding brakes. It's one of the few things that seems so easy that can really ruin an afternoon!

Sorry viper back to your original question.
There is a bracket on the rubber brake line, not the steel line, unbolt that bracket, and tie the rubber brake hose back. A friend of mine carefully cut the bracket off the hose so it wouldn't snag on anything.

I unbolted mine from the frame bracket. Bolted it to to a stanley tee, and then to a lower spot on the axle. Cost me 5 bucks. I used some guy's write up on jkf.

Yea I notice my rear line was rubbing shock couple days after the lift. I bent the bracket so now they dont rub.

JJPhoto I get what you are saying about the bracket on the axle now. Im just not sure whether to modify the stock line and bracket or just go ahead and get longer ss lines. And no I didnt do the exhaust spacers as they look like they are not made to last.

So I think I want to buy longer SS brake lines and discos. Any recommendations on which ones.I am also considering removing the bumb stops for max flex .Any of you done this ?

If you go with discos you will need either the exhaust spacer or different front driveshaft otherwise the factory driveshaft will hit the exhaust.

No, unbolt it at the bottom at the axle, just at the bottom of the coil spring. You are supposed to unbolt it to lower the axle to install the coil springs. Just leave it unbolted.

You don't want to remove the bumps tops because then you run the risk of over flexing the Jeep and damaging the tire, fender flare, or shocks. there is a ton of info on proper bumpstop setup out there. This Thread has some of the best info I have read.

As for the brake lines, we carry Crown Performance and they are great. They are available in lengths from stock to 6" longer than stock. They'll give you more than enough room for flexing your Jeep out.
