Anyone else making do with a one car garage or parking spot where your Jeep barely fits? Or any other challenging parking situation that you have to deal daily? Like a tight fit, difficult approach, perilous parking position, etc.?

Here is my one car garage, "where all (some of) the magic happens!" Lol. This is one of the prices you pay for living near the beach... :(

Let's see yours! :worthy:
Thanks!

The Jeep is much easier to park compared to the truck!

To fit the truck I had to lift the garage door opener motor about 6" inches and cut some parts off of it. Front to back I had about 6" to spare, and about 16" on the drivers side to exit the truck, providing the passenger side was about 2" from the wall (2x4s). There was no way to even enter the garage with both mirrors folded out!

Numerous times people walking by would stop and watch me back it in, with this look on their face that said "No way is that thing gonna fuzzy Bunny fit!!!" Lol

No TGS here. My garage has 20' tall ceilings and is 1500 square feet. :)

At least you guys can get into your garages. My VW Golf barely fits in my garage...and that's only when I clean it out. I wouldn't have anywhere near enough height let alone depth or width. Lol.

20' and 1500 sq ft sounds like heaven!

We live in a condo near downtown and have a shared garage, and I have a Yukon Denali XL, the JKUR, and several motorcycles as well my wife's Honda Civic. We are lucky to be friends with some of the neighbors who let us use some of their extra spots or I'd be in a lot of trouble! I'd like to get a place in the future with a large garage and a shop, but we like city living too much at this point to find something that would have that much space. I've considering renting space at a man cave or aviation hangar to park all the toys (also have trailers I have to leave at friends' places), but then I feel like I'd use them less if I had to drive 20+ minutes to get to them.

I'm in the same boat. While im happy my jeep sleeps in a garage, its however a one car garage and i have no room for anything else... whenever the hard top comes off i have to leave that in a relatives garage.

I feel much better knowing I am not alone... :drinks:

In the next two weeks I'll post a pic of my hardtop hanging over the Jeep's roll cage... clearing it by only a couple inches, and strapped so tight it's touching the ceiling (that is if I don't break something in the process).

That's how we have to roll with TGS.

LIA Syndrome here! Living In Apartment!
When working on the jeep there are tools all over the dining and living room. Got 5 tires for sale.
Right there with ya, I rent a house from my fiance's parents (with 4 other total people in a 3 bedroom house now) the agreement when we moved in was for 6 months their stuff would be stored while they went on a 6 month trip across the country with their 5th wheel. Well its a year later they are back haven't bought a new house yet and we still don't have the storage space back yet. When I took my doors off and had to store them in my bedroom. Even once they get their stuff the garage is taken up by a 4th bedroom/office but man I could use that storage for so much.

I am pondering looking at public storage for the summer just to go topless. As it is right now I would have to leave my top in the back yard under a tarp and id rather not do that.

my garage isn't so tiny but has a REALLY short door. This is the reason I haven't lifted the jeep yet. I put a 1" puck to level the front and with the softop up, it barely fits now. It is a full 2 car but the door is low. I am just renting and the moment because we recently reloacated half way across the country and were not sure what part of town we wanted to live in. We have a year left on our lease and we will be building a house so with the new house will come a lift =)

I too have a very low ceiling garage. When I had a new door installed it was so far down neither the jeep or I could get under it (6-2). The installers weren't happy about redoing their work to get it barely high enough to clear. Still gotta look out for the opener... Bam!

On stock suspension with 225/75/r16s my hardtop would hit the power door hardware. Now with 265s I wouldn't fit through the door height wise. Te ceiling is higher once inside (my hardtop is on a cart standing vertical with room. Even if it would fit through the door though, my garage is so clustered I couldn't put a Pinto in it right now
