2013 orders stopped awhile ago. Only 2014 are being accepted.

Man...the 2014 price jump is whack. I can't believe they are now charging $295 for 3.73's and $1095 for the power pacakge. I was super pissed when Remote start went from $200 to $495 in a day.

Here is the thing....there will be at least two more price jumps during the year.

Last year, there was an October 1st price jump which cost me $500 dollars for the exact same Jeep. (I ordered around the 9th or so). That was for basically the official 2013 fall roll-out. Then there was a price jump around the 1st of the year.....and another small price jump at the very end of the model year as they gear for the next year.

-------
Don't forget to spend some time in the 2014 information thread if you are considering a 2014. Lots of good info there.

Play the dealers off on each other... they will deal. Each salesman/dealership wants a sale. If that doesn't pan out, the OP will go to the next town and try the same thing. We're talking about saving $1000's here.

Once you make up your mind to order, don't let them talk you into 'this unit on another lot' where you don't get everything you want. Order one to your specs so you won't have regrets later.

what model should I go for if I just want power windows, A/C and a hardtop. I've seen that the Sport base has the options, but then the a unlimited comes with an alarm system and a few other things. don't know if it's worth the price difference.

gonna draw up a price sheet once I get home and present to every dealer I want. I know they're gonna jack up the price somehow because I'm a girl and "don't know anything". going in armed! boom.

You are just in the wrong section for Florida. Try central fl, Tampa, Sarasota or the panhandle...huge difference in attitudes.

Also if you like misty rain and lack of sunshine you will love Seattle. They actually forecast chance of sunshine there rather than rain.

You can get AC and a hard-top on any of them.

You can't get the power window/door/alarm package on a base Sport. You have to get a Sport S to get those features. That goes for both the 2 door and 4 door.

On the 2 door Sport S, the power package is a $1095 option. (that sucks).
On the 4 door Sport S, the power package is standard.

Hope that makes sense...

BTW, if you planning going to Seattle, 3.73's and LSD should be on your list.

You might want to try Arrigo Dodge in Palm Beach. If not in person, try by phone.

When I lived in South FL, they had (marginally) better prices than the dealers in Miami-Dade and Broward. Worth a shot if it's only an email/phone call.

As a side note, we left south FL 5 years ago and are longing to move back (REALLY miss the beach), however, I don't think you'd get me any further south than central FL. I enjoyed central FL when I lived in Tampa for a couple years.

So you gonna learn manual tranny? Depends what you want I guess... Sport S 2dr is pretty good as you get AC, big wheels/tires, premium soft top standard.

I was interested in a 2dr like you and then decided on a Sport S 4dr, which has more standard options. I got a bigger discount on it and glad I switched.

If someone can teach me manual, for sure I'd get a stick Jeep. I've always wanted to learn, but don't know anybody who can teach me.

^400 clams for the premuim top....

Manuals are a blast...but a Wrangler manual can be tricky. It has a long throw and a high clutch release coupled with the drive by wire throttle on the Wrangler (or so I hear...I only looked at manuals when I looked at 2 doors, but one look in the back-seat/trunk area of a 2 door sent me back to a 4 door, so I never test drove it). My other car is a manual and I litterally don't want to give it up (it just sits there). Plus, a Wrangler with a manual is very traditional. However, if you want to drink your coffee in the morning while driving to work in traffic, learn to steer with your knees.

Being a Girl, means nothing. Lots of women buy vehicles. Just have to be informed and go in there with a price and a trade in value. If they say NO, you walk out. Don't buy anything they try to sell you and you'll do alright. Get a car loan app on your smartphone and watch what they do on that computer. You have Wrangler Forum to help you too.

I bought the automatic, I don't feel like messing around with a stick anymore, but I do know why many like it.

Watch the salesperson... they have lots of tricks. Be vigilant and you'll get a good deal.

Planet Dodge is terrible! Good lick with warranty there.

Stick shift is fun to drive if you are willing to learn. As others have said the drive by wire (electronic throttle) is tricky with the 6 speed since the clutch is not electronic.

Keep trying. Someone will bite. I had a lot of wasted time when I started looking. When I got quotes I wrote them down and used them at the next dealership. Then I lied a few times and they were matching quotes that didn't exist

So were you trying to get a deal on a 2013 there or did you question them about a 2014 model ?

They had a excellent selection of jeep wranglers and jeep unlimiteds but as i said they just didn't want to budge so much on price....

as far as arrigo goes never actually talked numbers but im sure they're the same as their other dealership in broward. you call them about a price they make an appointment for you to see a salesman, when you never even asked for one. they then start hounding you via phone calls every other day about are you coming for your appointment ??

their prices for their jeeps were pricey.... i'm not sure whether or not they would negoiate on pricing though.

Oh wow! OK, a lot has changed since I was there last. Last time I was there it was very laid back, no pressure kind of place. I had to hunt down a salesman when I was looking for a car ('04 Intrepid) and he never hounded me after we spoke that day.

Sorry for the bad advice!

mind you i spoke to someone via internet about a price for a sarhara they were selling. it was the end of May, and i asked about whats the best you can do on pricing? he said as well as a saleman from arrigo palm beach BOTH told me " We can't do pricing via telephone. it's best you come here and we can talk"... I'll speak for myself and im not looking to talk numbers there im looking to seal the deal prior to me getting there. i'm looking to buy something THAT DAY and and pay for it lol. they're goal which it seems to me is they're just trying to get you in to talk numbers.

Arrigo isn't that bad. they gave me what seems to be a pretty decent deal on a 2013. $24,626+ tags OTD not including my trade in. So it would've been about 4k cheaper.

$24,626 ? what model and what options? also take into consideration TTT is going to run another $2500 dollars. your looking at OTD somewhere near $27K for a wrangler two door ? with little to no options? seems like alot to me..

Out the door $24,752.25 ? that sounds pretty damn good will they be shipping it out to kendall for you? or will you be going to sanford to go pick it up ?

now is this for a 2013 or 2014 ? also if you can reiterate what options you asked for.

I might go out to Sanford, or had it delivered here. Just asked how much it was, awaiting a response. just got a response, NO CHARGE. "I’ll have porters drive it down, no charge!"

It'll be for a 2014 24s, in Anvil, hard top with power convenience group.

$24,752.25+ $90 (doc fees)

No problem! He's a top notch guy! If only he could get me a pay plan that made sense for me...I love Florida...might be because I was born there, Hialeah hospital, and then lived in Miami- Cutler Ridge area.
