Nice! Thanks for sharing! I will make it to EJS one day. My spring breaks never line up and I'm a little farther away than you But seriously great pics and I bet you had a blast. And yes, I agree, that license plate law is dumb. Hopefully you get ypur jeep fixed up quickly! Just curious, are you locked?

Ah, nicely done then. Wheeling is all the more challenging without lockers. Mine isn't locked either (yet)

cool rig dude!
Nice you're willing to gain insight into the nuts and bolts level.
It pays for it self down the road.
It pays YOU, to buy the materials and the tools to do the job with, in all that you'll save in NOT having someone else do the job!
Pays for itself time after time!
You have a great paradigm, and wisdom beyond your years!
Best of luck with your project!

gonna be starting a fun project next week. probably next weekend. gonna be cutting up the dash and fiberglassing a custom flush mount for my ipad mini. plan to have the ipad be the headunit. so will no longer have a regular head unit.

already pulled apart and in prep for sizing and mapping out the plan.

Will also be adding 2 tweeters into the center so will have 4 total tweeters in front, 2 on the outsides and 2 on a center channel to give a much cleaner sound.

will be putting magnets into the glass to hold the ipad in while still making it easily removable. and putting a velvet like cloth behind the ipad so it rests against something soft and doesnt scratch my mini.

now im sure youre wondering how im gonna amplify the speakers? well, i am gonna be getting an additional amp to run my speakers as i already have one to run the subs. and will be getting a bluetooth to RCA adapter for the sound signal.

well. got my new artec heavy duty trackbar bracket in today. as well as the hydro steer ram (thanks beeber). so went ahead and pulled the front axle since im bringing it over to my buddies house for him to burn it on. cut off the stock bracket and grinded it, all ready to be burned on. hes gonna touch up on the gussets and truss as well. finished ipad mount. and finished installing all the amps. gave brandon my poison spyder BFH trail stinger and had him order the comp stinger for me. so winch and bumper are removed. also picked up a set of soft rear half upper and lower doors. perfect for the dogs and little ludskis.

tons of hours, tons of work. but finally got hydro on and working. screwed my clock spring in the process though because i had pulled the front axle before installing the new tapped steering box, i didnt center the wheel. but ya know, it is what it is.

New artec heavy duty raised trackbar bracket with welded tabs for PSC ram.

all plumbed up

hows shes gonna sit for a few days

gave my stinger to buddy Brandon and am waiting on new poison spyder BFH Comp Stinger. then new clock spring, new drag link, new tie rod. then im thinking of slowing down on the jeep for a little while and fixing up the garage more to have my own work shop.

Went to jeep beach met a bunch of fans of the Jeep. and talked with vendors, had a great time. Drove to Atlanta on the way and met up with Kevin and Reptar. Drove 18.5 hours straight home.

Got my new Poison Spyder BFH Comp Stinger put on today. and gave it a little black widow look to it.

so i dont forum much anymore but giving my threads a quick update.

will be doing some tire upgrades soon, so have been looking around at 60s again. have checked out 5 different sets of axles, none of which were to my standards. youd be surprised how many guys will lie out there and say a D50 is a 60. plan to run with a 60 up front (king pin prefer, unit allowed). and a 14b rear.

50" hybrid black box logistics light bar.
drove to colorado to pick up sisters car, found a job out there and one in arizona. but gonna finish my 2 year degree here before i jump out there.
heading out to MOAB next month. so did some maintenance. flushed all fluids. transfercase. transmission. engine oil. differentials. cleaned intake. running much smoother now.
flooded in town so went and played in some flooded streets and pulled out some cars that tried to make it.
also rewired all the electronics to make it easier for when i switch to an Spod

also have been working on others jeeps more than my own. built up a couple rigs. silver has some poison spyder products in bound. and white has many more parts inbound.

If no one has told you yet, real life sucks. Stay home as long as your parents will have you. Turn that 2 year into a 4 year! Hell, I know a lot of folks that are getting their doctorate just so they don't have to start real life.

Why you gotta jump to conclusions? Maybe he paid for all of it, maybe his folks did. If they did you don't have to lay into him for it. Does it really matter that much?

That thing is a beast man. I hope I get get somewhere near that some day

I'm not gonna come out and say it officially 'cause there's just too many to choose from, but that just might be the coolest Jeep I've ever seen! Looking for you on YouTube now...

some updates on the custom cage build. still need to add some tubing gussets (need to get new notcher) and then burn those in. then work on A pillar, windshield bar, and 2 harness bars (once my die comes in). wont have the die before moab this weekend though. and im considering using a roll on bedliner for roll cage. cause i dont want to have to touch up the cage in the future. head clearance is good with straight bars. soft top works. will be getting some wake board speaker pods for the rear. some shots.

so quite a bit has happened since my last update.

as far as jeep updates:
finished putting the gussets on the roll cage. and am now in the works on the front portion of cage and racing seats and harness bars. I also picked up a 79 D60 kingpin front axle and a 14B rear axle. but wont be building those for a while since i dont have the coin to put into new wheels and all the brackets, driveshafts, all that jazz. the 14B already has new calipers on it, which saves me from doing the swap. I'll also be relocating to Denver area this year.

now, for the good stuff.

hit up moab last month. Towed her out there behind the raptor (which i sold few weeks ago). Used a buddies BIG ass trailer. towed beautifully with that long of a trailer with little weight on the raptor, but dam was it heavy. met up with some crazy canadians out there eh.

pics or it didnt happen, well, okay, because you asked.

had 2 almost roll overs (Jay...) no damage or brakes (pardon my pun, because we had to replace an entire brake caliper, pads and rotor on one jeep). Cant wait to be back out there again soon. was absolutely the greatest trip of my life.
