I changed at ~ 500, ~1500 and ~3500. And each time there were visible metal shavings in the filter (less so with the last one). Now on to regular maintenance schedule. Not sure if it's necessary, but not an expensive insurance policy.

Lol at having to google milf. Also congrats on the new orders, hopefully yall get yours as fast as I got mine. Anyway, I normally run royal purple in all my vehicles but I am thinking about trying Mobil one full synthetic fuel economy blend. Switching to synthetic in my truck gave me a 3 mpg boost, not sure how well it will do in the Jeep but every little bit helps.

Thanks for that . . . Seems Canada orders are treated differently, apparently my dealer only gets the complete number once vehicle is complete and shipping. Whatever . . . I can hang on till next week, it is the time from completion until arrival at my dealer that will drive me the craziest . . . not to mention the time my dealer will take to prep and deliver the vehicle.
I already decided it will be a day off work, not going to have to work all day then fight traffic to pick her up in the dark.

Yeah, it was during those days that I got frustrated. I wanted to yell and tell them that they had completed the difficult part by building it - why should getting it to me take so much longer?!

A lot of people feel if you don't run dino to break in the engine the rings don't seat properly turning the engine into an oil burner. On the other hand BMW and Porsche both use synthetic from day 1 and recommend change only every 15K! I don't know who's right on that.

Ideal to me is oil change and 5 tire rotation every 5K. Dealer offers free oil changes, but think only with Dino. Maybe I'll take advantage of that

My wife wouldn't know the term either (and she is definitely one) and I think that's a good thing.

It's a fairly old term invented several years ago by Howard Stern. I suspect most of us...me for sure...never listen to his trash.

Got windows tinted yesterday and the guys in the shop were going on and on about the color. Today I was stopped in home depot by someone and on the way home flagged down by two ladies giving me a thumbs up. For anyone on the fence about ordering the color you wont regret it. Wonder why they didn't make the color sooner on jeeps.

I also get a lot of the same positive response. Actually Jeep has done various shades of Orange before but not every year. When I was searching Craig's List for an earlier model (before I decided to buy new) I saw quite a few.. Also my old neighbor in San Fran. had an Orange CJ...soft top and no doors. Tough duty in a No. Cal winter.

Got my first wave today, well three waves. I saw five Jeeps on my way to work tonight, a jk, a tj, and two cjs. The tj and the cjs waved, but not the jk. I see jks all the time and they never seem to wave. I don't expect anyone to wave, or get mad when they don't, but its cool when they do.
