So you still like a good old manual for serious play. After all the praise for the new auto I wondered about that.

Wonder if you'll upgrade the stock clutch? Not that I'll need to

just curious

My wife wanted the 6 speed! This is our 13th jeep and 11th manual jeep. The two autos were Cherokees.

We like the challenge of wheeling with a manual. I personally like control of gearing for grades, rocks, etc

I'll keep the stock clutch until it smokes up. Our 07 had 54,000 miles and the clutch was still fine

That really stinks - I wish they would leave Insight up and running. It seems like a good public/customer relations tool. We all loved it - using it should become standard procedure.

I have been trolling the BFG waiting room for a while. After seeing some photos of it, I think it is darker that I had hoped. I should have known with black in the color title. The more I look at the pictures of Crush, the more I like it. As soon as my LJ sells, I'm going to order one. It seems like everyones orders are taking about 2 months before they get keys in hand. Does that sound about right?

FINALLY, I see movement on VOTS from "scheduled" to "paint"

pretty sure it skipped the "frame" step because I check about every 20 secs and prolly would have noticed that !!

Anyway, I ordered 10/29 and dealer has given me an estimated ship date of 11/23, which seems tight if paint is just going on today.

Hoping it is at dealer by end of month!!

I watched the Travel channel feature showing the JK being built and they said they build 600 Wranglers a day so it seems possible at least.

I was the same way. I really wanted green, but after seeing how dark the BFG was I changed my mind. We already have a brilliant black Summit and did not want another basically "black" vehicle. One is enough.

Crush pictures have been awesome and I like the idea of a black and orange scheme. My wife loves the Crush color and says this Jeep should be strictly for fun so Crush it is. I already know exactly how it will be built and the wait just gives me time to collect my mods before Clementine gets home!
