Not sure how many Crush owners are in California, but the 2013 registration tags are the same color as our Orange Crush Jeeps

I was pretty excited, it's the little things sometimes that make me smile Even thought my husband just shakes his head at me.

Once again, VOTS goes from "Production Scheduled" straight to "Shipment". Both VOTS and IAMJEEP have been completely worthless throughout this process, but my dealer, who has been so busy as to not return phone calls for days at a time, DID call me today to tell me the good news. I should have my rig before too long. Then again, being only 250 miles or so from Toledo, it's probably going to take six weeks to ship.

Mine did the same thing, I was worried there might be pieces missing or they were just sending a frame since it skipped the other steps. 3 weeks I've been driving it and so far all is well.

It will be here before you know it and you won't even remember the pain of waiting. You will have a new pain, your face will hurt from smiling everytime you drive it

Yeah-not sure how that works but since t was theoretically being built on the 13th, I can't imagine they'd leave it hanging around the factory for 2 weeks versus sending it on its way. I'm getting excited!!!

It will be even more exciting when it actually arrives and you get to the dealership! I had to make myself stay calm so I could finish the paperwork and such. I wanted to jump up and down like a little kid!

Who am I kidding? I still want to jump up and down like a kid when I see it! It is such a fun vehicle!

Made my first big cosmetic mod to mine a couple days ago, but just got around to taking a pic today... Painted the entire front grill and headlight bezels with rustoleum truck bed liner, looks pretty great IMO especially after I gave her a bath today!

I really like that look and have seen pics of such before. I'm just a bit 'goosey' about doing it myself since it's expensive to buy a new one if you end up not liking it after a while..

How hard was it to get that spray on evenly and cover all areas well enough...how many cans did it take ?

Some Orange to tide us over...

Hello All:
I was surprised to see so many "Orange Crush" T- shirts ,etc on Ebay
I'm not a big T-shirt guy but I do like orange:

The pair of watches in the first photo are Doxas ... in 1967 this diving watch company did research to determine which color was the most readable at
increasing depths ... guess which color won?

The second picture is a much more affordable Seiko Orange Monster and is
the exact Crush color . I know because I laid it on the dealers Crush Wrangler when I ordered mine

Lastly , guess which Parker Duofold pen I will be using to sign the papers to take my Crush Orange Ruby home?
Hope you enjoyed the pix!

regards and thanks for making the wait a bit more bearable!!!

Dante

I don't have a picture handy, but the training dummies we use for our Labs are the same orange as the Jeep. I had a couple in a bag on the floor and when one rolled out next to the painted area it matched perfectly. I couldn't help but giggle, again my husband just shook his head at me

Just use Plasti-dip. If you don't like it after a while you can just peel it off.

I could become obsessed with watches. I have to make myself not order them! I have a really cool Invicta open heart watch. I have seen quite a few orange face watches I have wanted to buy, though! I looked at a watch site earlier this week at some. I finally just closed out of it because the temptation was too great!

I wore my new orange heels this week! They are summer shoes - I was excited that the weather got warm enough and the first day of Spring arrived so I could begin wearing them! I plan to wear them with many outfits. They will be the "pop"! (Or they will just add even more color to them!)

It is exciting that orange is such a hot color this year. It s like the fashion world has caught up to me!

That's the fun thing about Orange Crush, we're in "style" with our bright color. Plus we look good when we have an event that requires the "little black dress."

You need a photo wearing a LBD and those Orange heels, the typical leg stepping out of your Jeep shot like you see the Hollywood stars doing. Haha

Not hard at all... and I've never done anything like this before either, but if you search the forum, there's a few really good write-ups on exactly how to do it..

All in all the cost was around $20. Got some 100 grit sandpaper and a few cans of Rustoleum Truck Bed Liner. Sand it down until the entire surface (including all the nooks and crannies you can find) is roughed up. Start with a really light coat at first. Its okay if some Crush is still showing through. This stuff dries really fast as well, so about 15 minutes later you can put on another coat. Just keep putting on these thin coats until you've got it how you want it pretty much. It actually goes on really evenly by itself in my opinion. Turned out really great! I put on about 4 or 5 coats, and used about 2 1/2 cans-ish. Make sure you get some painters tape or masking tape and tape around the rubber seal at the top of your grill beforehand as well! A good tip is to replace the tape between coats so you get a consistent result after every coat. You don't want to be pulling off dried paint at the end of the job haha... Also, if you want to know how to remove the grill, just google it. Easy as pie! At the moment I'm retro-fitting some plastic rain gutter guard as a grill insert. Will post pics soon!

Some of the stuff in that thread looks pretty good. Might do some more looking into it since it appears to be a nice cheap way to add to the Jeeps look.

Ordered my 4 door Crush Rubi on January 27th....still waiting it's been released from the plant and just waiting to be shipped to my dealership! The wait is killing me - already have a 3'' BDS lift purchased with Fox 2.0 shocks, Husky liner floor mats, and some other small things here and there.

Can't wait to join this elite group

I have the grill insert, might see about installing it this weekend since the hubby is gone I have some time on my hands.

I just thought it would be a cute picture with the orange heels & Jeep. I got my toes done orange again just in celebration of actually having the Jeep.
