EWW, sorry am a RN had to ask.
It will look better than if somebody threw up Strawberry Crush. Plus, it won't have the chunks.

Obviously!

I actually considered a Rubicon and had the prices for that on my spreadsheet with the Sahara! I just couldn't justify it. This will be my daily driver - 50 miles round trip. I think it will be fun to do some offroading with the boys, but realistically that just won't happen very often!! When it does, it will probably be on the family farm on trails or paths used for tractors, 4-wheelers, or hunting.

Plus, my plan is to pass it along to the boys when they start driving in 6 and 8 years. They don't need the ability to get but so far offroad as teenagers - I am sure they will manage to do enough in a Sahara! I picture girls and beer with them -- lethal combination as it is; no need to add the additional abilities of a Rubicon taking them to whatever place they will decide is "makeout point".

Actually, what made me almost decide to get the Rubicon is that I really wanted the black fenders!! I like the look of the black top and black fenders. I am old enough to want some of the comfort type options of the Sahara and Rubicon - leather, heated seats, remote start, etc. So, that knocked out the Sport. When it was all said and done, I just couldn't spend an additional $3000+ to get black fenders!!!!!

Even better - they won't be able to race or speed and do all those other things teenage boys do!!!!!!!

Hang onto it for a few more years and then stick it on the train and haul it on down here!!!!!

OMG - in my ocd checking every morning on both insight and vots I almost fell off my chair:

CURRENT VEHICLE STATUS : Frame
The primary exterior structure of your vehicle is being assembled

Still says D1 on insight but this shows some movement. Maybe it will ship this week???

And my wife as already named the new crush jeep "Tiggr" ...

Well I put on an orange T-shirt this morning in hopes it would help.....

And it did. My jeep was born today. Confirmed on VOTS and dealer just email. It's awesome to have a dealer that's on top of stuff. Hope you all have some movement as well.

Who here has a Sahara Unlimited 'Crush' in D1 or higher status?

I officially have no clue whats going on, I called Jeep/Chrysler last week and they said I was on 'D' status, then just called my dealer and they said that still have me on 'C' 'Tentatively Scheduled on their freaking system. WTF is going on, now I'm moving backwards. Does anybody know what going on???

Lastly I see Winter Chill, Black Forrest Green, etc are scheduled to begin production sometime this month. Whats does everybody think, will they begin production on these other colors before the catch up with Crush? I'll seriously be knocking on some doors of Jeep demanding answers if I get pushed to the back of the line for other colors... This is just ridiculous!!!

Even though Cust. Svc. told me over the phone yesterday that my jeep was currently being built, neither VOTS nor Insight indicate that. My dealer received a notice of build, so why wouldn't the websites indicate this? 'tis a mystery

Insight still hasn't found me. VOTS or whatever just isn't working for me at the moment - I can only use phone to check when I have a free moment. (I have not had free moments today - some of us have to work for a living! )

Mine also Sahara JKU.

If Insight hasn't found you then you are still in D. I'd make a call and see when ever you can. I am frustrated for you....

Ordered 9/2. Dealer says d status. Insight not working. Im passing the time ordering aftermarket parts. I can handle the wait but I want to see a freaking picture. Presumably one has been built by now. Someone at chrysler please take a picture for us folks who ordered a jeep without seeing the color.

FWIW, you can see a pic of a Dodge Challenger in Header Orange. The pic of Wranglers on the Jeep page are dead nuts on with that color on the Challenger. Both pics were posted on this forum a few pages back. I know that's not quite the same but at least you get to see the color. Someone should get delivery of a Crush/Header jeep in a week or two.
