It hurts like hell! I had to sleep with it propped up so it would stop throbbing, I'm sure it's going to be very sore for a few days.

I'm not getting stitches, but I think I'll go look for that bandaid-glue stuff that will seal it up. The butterfly bandaids don't work well, I can't keep my hand in a position to keep it closed up.

I think I'd rather assist in the procedure than be the volunteer. That stuff doesn't bother me, I react well to emergency situations, I'm able to stay calm and think clearly. I'm not sure why, then afterward I usually loose it and get shaky and cry. Lol

That looks really good. I've been thinking of doing just the inside are of the hinges, not sure what it would look like so I might have to just try one and see.

You did an awesome job

I am proud. It looks great. I want to know how it holds up on the hinges. I never thought to try it on hinges because I figured it wouldn't hold well on moving parts. After blowing a tire and driving on the flat and the rim still being more or less fine, changing the tire and it not coming off the bolts, and having to remove it from the G35 grill I have found it to be tougher than I thought it was.

I was actually wondering how it held up on your flat, sounds like your a testimonial for it's durability. Maybe you should write them a letter and they will send you some free product, lol.

How hard was it to remove it from the grill? I have an aftermarket grill on my G35m, but have the stock grill in the attic. I've been thinking of removing the Infiniti emblem and having the grill painted black, then reattach the emblem, leaving it as chrome.

I know a couple guys that did this and it looks nice, just wondering what Plasti-Dip would look like in this case. I wouldn't have to sand down the grill first like I would if it's painted, would I?

It sticks fine, no sanding needed. To remove it you have to get an edge going and them peal it off. To actually start and edge I had to scratch it pretty hard with my thumbnail, later I used a razor. You have to remove it slow or you will have little pieces left that are hard to get off. When we were removing it we actually thought about the whole black with chrome badge and figured it would look good.

Oh and since you already have the grill out it will be easier to spray.

I'm a little nervous about getting super glue in it, it's pretty deap and it's not closed. Maybe after I get it to close for a day or so then the glue wont go down inside.

Plus it will hurt! Lol

I may try it since it comes off easily. I'll add it to my project list, unfortunately it's getting longer instead of shorter. I will never complain of being bored

Ya, I thought of that. I was going to take it to a body shop and have it done, but if this works there's no need

Thanks, it looks good. I see you did the emblem too, that would be the only thing I do differently.

I loved our dune buggy. It had a very short wheel base and you couldn't keep the front end down. Mike had welded brackets on the front and put cement blocks on to keep it down. My son was just a toddler and even though the thing was horribly loud, he would fall asleep in my lap every time we went out.

That's the nice thing about living in Pismo Beach, when you have a toy like that you can just go play all the time

We have a lot of work to do on it. If we would stay on one task it might look like progress was being made. We just keep jumping from one thing to another. We will start on a rim, then move to the engine then over to some wires, just going in circles. Ill be going over in a little bit to help for a while and see what hes done today.

Has anyone painted their Hi-Lift jack Crush color?
I am thinking about doing it if I can find some spray paint the same color

My husband painted mine black for me, I want it to blend with the bumper so it doesn't get stolen. I'm afraid if it stood out too much it might disappear since my Jeep sits outside all the time.

I used a couple pieces of surgical tape and pulled it closed, then put a band aid over that, then a piece of packing tape over that. No duct tape at work Haha, it should stay closed for a day or so and then I can glue it.

Hey there!!

Bager, there is a thread just about plasti dipping hinges. One guy did it about 7 months ago and said it hasn't worn. That is why I decided to go ahead and paint mine. I really like the look of the black hinges.

Ok I need help! I just found a 2012 crush rubicon for the same price as my 13 sport s I just had built. Someone make my decision for me! Lol. The only thing I don't think will work with the kids is the noise of the soft top and half doors with soft uppers.
