My local dealer has 5 on their lot. So much for "limited" edition. The dealer where I bought mine from (Franklin, TN) has a lifted unlimited. It proves the point that a lift can make almost anything look better (Jeeps, Trucks, & tata's )
I love my Porter Cable 7424XP, but I definitely do not want to have to pull it out every weekend along with the Chemical Guys arsenal to maintain a black vehicle.
I have seen the Dragon edition at a local dealer. It is not for me but I understand why other might like it. Mark my words, in 25-30 years it will be a collectors item. Think about the weird cars of the 70's that are now cool ie trans-am, Power Wagons, etc.
same as i seen a turbo charged thunderbird versace edition i saw about 5 days ago sitting at the shop, i was getting the windows on my JKU tinted at.... needless to say the owner thinks its worth some serious money, but in all reality it aint worth that much.:funnypost:
Why change such a rare special edition and make it look like a regular sahara ??? The gold accents and Dragon are what make it what it is..... Now with this said, I'd at least put-on a 2 inch front, 1 inch rear leveling kit and 33 inch tires..... but then again, I think all stock JKU Jeeps needs at least a leveling kit and 33s....
I am very much reminded of the AMC Oleg Cassini Matador Coupe from 1974 and 1975. That car had copper accents in the grille, headlights, rear license area and accents on the wheel covers along with copper interior appointments including dash, horn buttons, and door pull straps as well as the copper cassini logo on the head rest.
And for the youngster among us, AMC owned the Jeep tm at that time and Chrysler bought out AMC/Jeep in 1988, so there may be more than just a slight coincidence here.
Apparently Jeep is having a tough time selling the Chinese version of the Dragon Edition ($93,600 USD), even in dragon country.
" Sales of the Wrangler Dragon Limited Edition are going a bit slow. The Dragon Limited Edition is limited to 999 cars, which is a lot anyway for a limited edition. Chinese media say, in a kinda mean way, that only 19 cars have been sold with another 980 available."
I saw one of these at the dealership over the weekend and I did like the wheels on it. That was about it, the dragon wasn't doing it for me and I'm not a fan of hard tire covers.
What the hell do Jeeps and Dragons have to do with eachother?
I look at this and one word comes to mind.
dafuq?
I can understand the "limited edition" mindset. I mean, Wranglers seem to have 3-4 "limited editions" a year. But most of the time, when a manufacturer sets out to make a "limited edition" vehicle, it's not tacky...
I saw someone driving one of these in Olathe,Ks. I was sitting at a light looking right at it. I drove by slowly to see if there was a dragon on the door. I can't believe somebody bought one.

Test drove one of these at the stealership and it was ugly as sin. The only "cool" features were the dragon scales on the sides of the seat bottoms. Still ugly but an awesome touch.
