Not going to lie when I saw the pictures of dune, I thought it was really ugly. Ran into one in the other day as I was getting getting gas and my opinion changed 100 percent. I really like the color now. Good looking Jeeps guys.

I did some pre-shopping before I took the wife to the lot. I saw the dune color and I told the salesman there's no way in heck she's gonna like that, That's the ugliest color I've ever seen. I was looking at the rugged brown pearl because it was the only other unlimited that had the options we wanted. I was trying to make myself like the brown. I brought my wife back as soon as she saw the dune color she says I want that one. Now I love the color don't regret it one bit.

I ordered my Dune 2014 Rubi on 8/3 and IAMJEEP says it should be delivered by 9/30, so I've got my fingers crossed that it'll be here before then.

Black leather, deep tint windows, and premium soft top. Not going to be able to start modding it out until next spring at the earliest, but I've already got some ideas in mind.

Can't wait to post some pics here.

Love my 2013 Dune JKUS! It sports a sweet set of AMP power steps, 4" Pro Comp Stage 1 lift with 33 X 12.50 R17's Nitto Mud Grappers on stock wheels. Looking forward to adding more mods in the near future.

I added the hood decal and jack on the hood. The black and dune together looks tuff IMO.

Not to thread hijack....but I like that bumper! Does it provide any tire coverage? It's hard to tell if it's more of a mid-width, or a stubby.

So far-installed front 2" of Teraflex leveling kit, shorty antenna, lockpik, rear camera, black grill inserts, granite lug nuts, lift for hardtop, sun screen, easy door removal bolts, shortened front bumper, black "jeep" logo, removed decals, rear seat headrest mod, added dog seat, added plug for 110-usd combo.

Future wheel spacers, 35"tires, modify rock rails.

Yikes upside down- help, oh well just a Jeep!

I know this is a stretch, but if they offer this color when the redesign comes around (when I buy a new jeep), I'm gonna be all over it. Wish they had this color available when I bought mine, these jeeps look awesome! Personally, Dune is the best color available especially for modded rigs. But black is right up next to it.

No worries, it's a little wider then a stubby... Here is a pic that might help

I saved one of the earlier pics, much obliged! I've been looking at full and mid widths, but this one is now on the list.

I agree with NFRs: Dune and CG are both a little light, but the more black you have on your rig, the better they look. Colored fenders and hard top don't do the color justice, IMHO. Adding some black brings the brightness down a few notches.

Glad to see a thread on this underappreciated color!
I agree. I am strongly considering JKR Dune, but I need to see one at a dealership. I would actually prefer it to be more of a muted matte look, so I am looking into getting it wrapped with a clear matte finish. Going for the stark "military" look, with a ton of black accents. This rig will be in Belize, so bikini top, lift, 35's and lots of black accents, including a Moab hood.

Virgin Dune

I guess I found my spot ... Had her a couple of weeks. Boxes of parts arriving daily and I hope to start wrenching this weekend.

A Virgin Dune ...

i LOVE dune - I think it's the most "jeep" of any of the colors - never looks dirty, and does have that desert storm military look.

Having some fun

Naked Dune looks phenomenal!!

If I do decide to get a Dune, I will most likely wrap it with a clear matte or satin bra all the way around, to reinforce that Desert Storm look. Lots of black accents. Remove RUBICON sticker and replace with RAT PATROL EDITION.

Complete the mods with the new Browning 50 cal. Theft Deterrent System!
