The Jeep Flip Off!!!

That's right. From now on I am going to flip all Wrangler drivers off. I'm tired of waving and getting either no response or a weird look like (why is that guy waving at me???). I never seemed to have this problem in my TJ. So if you live in Kansas City and see a black 2dr rubi flippin you the bird just take it as a friendly howdy...

It's a good thing that you 2 don't live in Georgia. But then again, down here you would get plenty of returned waves.

Try flashing your lights! In daytime I always flash my lights and give a wave so they know I'm a fellow Jeeper saying hello Today I got 5 waves back. Gotta love it down here in beautiful 'bama.......

I always appreciate getting a wave back from a JK...here, the majority of them are the ones not waving! lol

So for me it's usually:

Passing JK
*wave*
...waits...
...drives on past looking at me like I'm an idiot...
"Dick."

I think I flipped you off today. Either it was you or another black Rubi. Either way, the driver didn't wave back.

My daughter says "Don't they know the jeep rule!?" when we don't get waves. What I love is that there are times I stick my head out the window and wave. I love the odd look from the soccer moms and dads trying to figure out if they know me.

Guess I rode motorcycles long enough for the wave to become a habit. I wave, they don't. Who's got the problem? They do.

Honestly this is the stupidest thing about Jeeps -

Now up here in NE, some wave some don't. I could care less. I mean good god, if there is one thing that is going to turn me off to the Jeep wave, it's the weight people put on it.

So I'm a dick because my mind is considering my kid in the Hospital, or what I need to pickup on the way home and I don't see your little wave?

Wave if you want - I will return it if I see it - but don't assume I'm a dick for not noticing or going out of the way to return it. It's a wave. For those who feel flipping me off is a good idea well, I'll be sure to return the "wave"

I'd prefer discussing things that matter, like how to get more power from the V6, or how to get my wife to stop mentioning that if I spent as much time on her as I do on the Jeep, our relationship would be stronger than it is ... ahhh domestic bliss

OH btw ...

Man, that's the beauty of my Kay and Gordon's cards.
Conversation goes something like this:
"Look honey I got you some new earrings while I was out picking up a winch."

You must now turn in your Jeep bumper sticker for waving to an FJ!

Well they could be like me. i got my jeep before I found the forum. So I got some waves and kinda just looked back at them with a "do I know you?" look. Wasn't till I go on here that I found out about the "wave". Now I wave and will occasionally get the same look I used to do from some other jeep drivers! So yea the flip off might be extreme. Just give them the benefit of the doubt and be friendly by waving; there's enough a-holes in the world already

In the right parts of Bama, you don't even have to own a Jeep to get a wave.

In Ohio, I found that on the back roads, a lot of folks give the two fingers up wave and being from Massachusetts I didn't quite get it but tried it out and that seemed to work to those who were initiated. That was when I drove a caravan and people just waved to be friendly. I still wave just to be friendly. I've experimented with the wave now for three years being a jeep owner. I find that when I don't get a return wave it is usually because the other driver is distracted by operating the controls and being a good driver keeping a safe distance and such in moderate to heavy traffic. Giving a whole hand wave gets a much better response than the two finger wave because the wave is more visible. I find people generally friendly not the other way around, so I wave.

I wave to Jeeps......nothing political about it, won't flip the bird to anyone, don't care if they wave back or not, don't care if they're Willy's or CJ's or TJ's or JK's, even an occasional XJ......I just wave to Jeeps.
