The madness begins

Greetings, my name is Tim, and I'm a JA. (Jeep addict). Been lurking on forum for about a year since buying my 2012 JKU sport S. (3.6 auto with the dreaded 3.21..Que ominous music)Love the utility of the JKU, cargo space, towing, convertible, mud slinger, sport car...(I can dream can't I)

Anyway had it a year, time to make her look right. 90% on road, 10% off road. No rock crawling just yet, mostly trails and fire roads in upstate NY. Plans are as follows will be complete by end of month;

Bumpers - eBay front and rear going on this weekend, rear carrier type
Lift - TF 2.5 coil. Not sure if replacing shocks or just using adapters..plan on bilstein 5100s
Wheels -Black Rock D Window Alloys, 15x8 tungsten, like the silver/black contrast
Tires - GY Duratrac 33x12.5x15, heard many positives, easier on drive train

Thoughts

Not sure if I'll need an exhaust spacer, some did some didn't. 2.5 coil hard to install without a lift? Amateur shade tree here, have worked on cars and my bikes.. Should I pop for the shocks upfront or swap them out later? If I swap out later is it a pita?

Wheels, what TPMS sensors should I get for the Black Rocks?

Any other recommendations for phase one of the project? Yes, I want flatties but might just trim until I have the funds

Thanks

Dog,

Would you mind sharing the locations of some of the fire roads in upper NY?

Bob - I run a lot of the trails on the tug hill plateau, (I use to run them on a KLR 650 enduro) they are mainly ATV & Snowmobile trails. A bunch in ADK but I've not ran alot yet. Best best is to get a topo map..tons that go to lake and streams in ADK..very scenic

Love the look man! I wish I had the money for bumpers. I'm slowly working on a lot of these mods too!
