To me, there is absolutely nothing better than a wrangler. It's almost like having a toy that suffices as a daily driver. I don't know what came over me to make this post - I just want to say, I genuinely believe that there is nothing on the road (short of 100k) that I would rather drive.

Well the 2012 is the best Wrangler ever built. It should be, its all designed by Mercedes. It has Mercedes all over it, Mercedes battery, Mercedes oil filter, Mercedes dipstick, the engine looks and runs like a Mercedes.

Inside is incredible, I can't believe Jeep has an interior this nice, especially in a Wrangler. The knobs and controls all feel exactly like a Mercedes. If you dive underneath it, its all Mercedes design. Oilpan design, Mercedes. Trans looks like a Mercedes. It doesn't compare to any Jeep I ever had, 1978 CJ7, 86 CJ7, 77 CJ7, 94 Cherokee 2 door Sport, 99 Grand and a 2012 Wrangle Unl. This blows my Grand Cherokee away in quality. It blows my Mercedes away!

Rides great, tranny feels awesome, 6 speed. Engine is unreal, very impressive power and torque. Shifter bouncing around is a little goofy, gonna be wearing out bushings or something.

Couple things drive me nuts though, I always bang my knee on the dash getting in, right on the speaker grill, little tight there. I'm 6'2", seat is back all the way too. Steering wheel is too close to the dashboard, can barely get to the rear wiper part of the stalk. No grab handles? I would like something to hold the doors OPEN. No factory door entry guards? Mopar makes the perfect guards too, why not just put them on? Saving weight for racing? Rear window just funnels rain into the interior when open, put a lip on it. Should get the front bumper up to the fender flares, hate the gap. Washer nozzle doesn't seal to the hood, water sitting on engine cover after every rain, stupid. Just put BFG All Terrains on ALL the models. Or Mud Terrains.

I just turned 500 miles today, changed the oil at 487, clean as a whistle. All engines should use the Mercedes filter system. Pulled down 17.30 MPG so far.

I have a Zappa lyric playing in my head. It's in German and involves a sofa.

I agree Wranglers don't get any better than this.

I agree. This is my first Jeep and first American 4 x 4. If only big C could hire some of those out of work NASA guys to make a simple soft top!

Nice try but you are wrong. The Jeep is not JUST a road vehicle; it's an amusement park on wheels! And therefore, is NOT a car.

Ahhhh, I get it. Toss it out, hope for a bite!
Well, you got a couple of bites.
You said it right. I suppose a Wrangler fits the definition of "car".
Rosie O'Donnell = woman (reportedly, anyway)
Christina Hendricks = woman
