Well arnt you the all deciding power...... Guess what I happen to have a gun on me 80% of the time and if this issue was a problem you can bet the farm I would have one on me when I addressed it. Does that mean I no longer get to post on WF?

I say you hide in the Jeep, then when the SOB crawls user there, you just back over him. Problem solved!

I agree with the handgun carrying. I ALWAYS carry, with permit. Where I live, holding someone at gunpoint until the police arrive isn't legal though.

Let's NOT turn this into a gun thread.

I dont know what state you live in but some states allow a citizens arrest where if you witnes the perp comiting any misdemeanor or felony you can arrest and detain them at gun point until an officer arrives.

You likely didn't hear about it because there WAS justice in this case. Really the stories like this should be more publicized to help punks reconsider. After your story though, it seems like that guy wasn't the type to learn a lesson.

Is there something wrong with talking about guns on this forum?

Guns are more than guns right now, they are a hot button issue. So he doesn't want it to turn into a political argument and get the thread locked. I do think that other poster was not threatening to get Koeda banned so much as pointing out that you are in danger of being arrested if things ever got that far.

That actually sounds exactly like that kind of threat. But then it is followed up by a teenageish statement. .... because if you beat the crap out of someone you are going to get locked up also

Well, it is a Jeep Wrangler forum, and we are in a technical thread for the JK series, so it would be a bit off topic.

But more importantly, it tends to start arguments, and at some point, politics are brought up, and that always derails a thread. You are free to talk about guns in the "off topic" section.

Here in lovely NC you are authorized the use of force (not including deadly force) to prevent theft - i.e. laying on hands, soft and hard. I would not be surprised to see a number of other states authorize a limited use of force to prevent theft. What makes that interesting, is the follow-on because adding violence, controlled or not, rarely DE-escalates a situation.

Also, while going hands on seems cool, I recommend mace/pepper/OC if permitted by law in your area. If you don't have any experience with it, beating someone's ass is hard work. Why settle for bruised hands/knuckles, ripped clothes, tired and sweaty for some punk when I could just douse him with OC and laugh at his misery with minimal exertion?

Anyhow, sorry to hear about the fuel being stolen, but since they have made this something of a recurring event - which is TERRIBLE OPSEC - you ought to run some R&S just to have the piece of mind knowing how the $hitbags are.

I had something similar happen to my company car only they cut the fuel line instead. The only good part was about the thief's stupidity. When they slid out from underneath the car, their wallet came out of their back pocket and had all of their credit cards, ID and driver's license in it. Talk about justice...the cops loved it when I gave it to them!
